History

Established in 2012.

Ariell was one of the first few vendors to help launch the Wolfville Farmer’s Market in the mid to late 90s. After years of doing baked goods at the market, she helped launch the Designer Café in Kentville, running their kitchen for four years, before moving on to TAN Coffee. In early 2012 Edible Art Catering was launched, and opened at it’s current location in November of 2013 on the grounds of the old Horton High school at 9701 Commercial Street.

The Edible Art Café straddles the border between the villages of Greenwich and New Minas, Nova Scotia. Many of our guest have fond memories of the space, as it used to be the school wood shop, and later became the band room. When traveling through Greenwich, look for the old brick gates of the High school, as the café is set back from the road, and almost directly across Commercial Street from Deep Hollow Road.

Meet the Business Owner

Ariell and Jesse V.

Business Owner

Edible Art was created by Ariell and her husband Jesse, as an extension of their passions to be shared with the community. After meeting in Hawaii in early 2012, and sorting out the logistics of 6000 miles separation, they finally found a permanent home with the opening of their Edible Art Café on November 18th 2013.

Ariell’s culinary background, and Jesse’s hospitality background, both spanning back to the mid 1990s, are a potent combination as they create on their Annapolis Valley canvas. Ariell’s passion for food, clothing, and Art ties in perfectly with Jesse’s service background, event experience, and passion for sustainable technologies. They also love to support all things local, and have bright entrepreneurial visions for the future.
