Dollar Tree

This is a hard one to rate… some of the deals at this particular dollar store cannot be beat, but TWICE we had packages that contained NOTHING! Not sure if it is because of customer theft or the store not checking quality control. A bit frustrating for sure. OK on to the store itself. We like the seasonal area at the front of the store, not mixed in with the regular stock, makes shopping easier. They keep their shelves full, and there is always a bargain or two to be had. The service is hit & miss like most of these types of stores. They could definitely use more tellers, as the line-​ups can get pretty long. Great location at the New West Skytrain Station.

OK ~ I spent a while looking for this store. Not knowing it was IN the skytrain plaza. So if you’re following GPS or google maps (like I was) it would lead you to some empty dog park lot, or a building and you’ll be asking yourself… where the F– is this store?!
After finding the store.
I was on a hunt for plain heart stickers. You think that would be easy in a dollar store, but it wasn’t really to be honest. The store was a mess. There were boxes everywhere for the shelves to be re-​stocked or organized. In the «teachers» or kids section there were lots of stickers, but not what I was looking for. Yes, this place has lots of stuff, but it was everywhere. I felt really flustered in the store, because of the fact it was so disorganized. I felt as though I’ve stepped into a hoarders den and I had to get out. I walked through out the store, and the only ones that seemed to be working were the cashiers that were dealing with pretty big lineups, One lady eventually revealed herself from the back and went organize some shelves, however I found her fixing up the isle that was like the neatest in the store. I didn’t feel like asking for her help as she looked really upset and flustered herself.
I walked out of the store empty handed and back to the dollar store across the street.
Maybe I’ll pop into the store one day while I’m passing by to see if the conditions of the store has become better since I last went, and perhaps then I’ll find and buy something.

This is the new Dollar Tree that is located in the New West Skytrain Plaza. The store itself is very organized, however, nothing popped out at me and they didn’t have the simple item I was looking for. It’s not to say that they don’t carry it, they just didn’t have it in stock. With dollar stores there is a huge rotation of items due to popularity. Sadly this was the first time I’ve walked out of a dollar store with nothing. I did do some browsing and the customer service was awesome. Dollar stores in general are hit and miss when it comes to this.

WHY oh WHY have I not gone here before now! With Halloween fast approaching I wanted to «decorate» my desk area and since I walk by here EVERY DAY, I thought to pop in here. Well wasn’t I surprised when I did! It offers sooooooooooo many things that I am dying for Christmas decorations. I went in for a couple of things and $ 50 later I am walking out with 5 bags of goodies for both the office and my house.
There are many other items there besides decorations and it’s not like your typical dollar store that’s a mess. It’s very clean here and the staff are extremely friendly. I will be back, no doubt about it! I am a fan!!!
