I’m not sure if ownership has changed, I used to frequently order from here for a long time and everything was great. I’m not sure what has changed but I don’t find the quality of the goods are what they used to be. I was very disappointed with my latest order and that is comparing them to their previous products. Very strange and hope that things go back to the way they were.

This location has the WORST hours. It feels like it’s never open. Hours appear to be inconsistent — every time I come by its closed. Disappointing.
But I still love your baked goods! :)

We had sushi next door and stumbled across this place. It looked amazing so much to choose from and extremely appealing to the eye everything was FULLY stocked and I was so confused that I had never seen or heard of this place before… Until I actually tasted the goods. Terrible baked goods better of going to save-​on and grabbing something from there «bakery». I was so unbelievably disappointed and the girls at the counter seemed less than enthused at us for asking for recommendations. I mean it’s hard to not finish even the most mediocre baked goods but we couldn’t even finish this it was just plain awful and it all tasted the exact same so I don’t know why they have so much of everything there really is not point. Do not waste the calories.

Maybe I went on a bad day or purchased the wrong things but my experience here was below expectations.
I was eating sushi next door and decided to pop in after reading all the great Unilocal reviews. I got the custard canoli and the chocolate croissant. The custard canoli was just ok and I thought the croissant wasn’t very good. I would rather have a chocolate croissant from Cob’s anyday.
Maybe I’ll come back to give this place another try. The 4 – 5 stars must come from somewhere?

Popped in for a quick americano and pastry, and to look at all the amazing desserts. The coffees were good and they heated up our pastries! So nice to see this location as I had only previously known about the one on the drive. Will be back for future birthdays! :)

I haven’t actually stepped foot in here but I have had may of their delectable delights, courtesy of my husband stopping in there on the way home from work.
As others have mentioned this is the brother of the previous bakery that was here and they are both talented. My wedding cupcakes were done by the Bella’s but I would be just as happy if they had been from here because the pastries are fanfrickentastic.
One day I will make it inside but until then my hubby makes sure I have some of these delights! Yummmm Yummmmmmm!

Was sad to see Bella’s close, but was thrilled that Fratelli’s took it place (one brother bought out the other and Fratelli’s second location is here). Just walked in off the street, and picked up a yummy Lemon Butter Cream cake for my husband’s birthday. We loved it! Fresh, fluffy cake layers … I am not a vanilla cake fan, chocolate is more my thing, but it is my husband’s cake… so HE chooses! lol. I thought it was delicious! The place is a real bakery!
We also bought a dozen assorted biscotti! They are darn good with tea!
We recommend this bakery. And we will be regular patrons.

It’s finally open! I was sad when I found out Bella Pastries was closing, but happy when I found out that Fratelli was opening the new bakery. (The two talented bakers behind each are brothers.)
It’s a little smaller than the Commercial Drive location, but offers a similarly vast and tempting array of goods. The layout is much the same as Bella, except that there is a wider window into the kitchen where you can see the bakers working. We just tried some savoury pastries and a Nanaimo bar today, and if this review were given in Charades, it would look like me smiling with my mouth full and giving a thumbs up.
