I love the stuff in this store, but the customer service is sub par. I spent 20 mins today waiting for the employee to get off a personal call. Finally my husband walked up to her and got her to hang up. We wanted to buy a pair of lamps but were told they were on hold, I wish they would have put a note on them, such a waste of time.

Ah New West, you’ve managed to keep a nice little gem in this city for more than four months and not have its closed doors turn into a dingy carpet store or money laundering scheme. Well done. This little place separates itself from the numerous bridal shops and dingy businesses along Columbia street. Their home décor is adorable — if I could buy everything in the store, I would. My most recent purchase is the pastel measuring cups for my mom which she loves! I’m currently eyeing the polka dot measuring cups for myself. Aside from home furnishings you will also find a small selection of clothing and jewelry. They also have a bunch of Paris/Eiffel Tower-themed items. I think that’s what draws me into this place the most. The music that plays — often soft jazz — compliments the theme of the store. Along with the Eiffel Tower-themed furnishings, It makes me feel like I’m living in a quaint apartment in Paris. One can only dream! I believe they have a website where you can purchase things online that aren’t offered in-store. I may not purchase something every time I visit, but I love having the opportunity to peruse and see what they have. New West is growing into a popular, young person’s city, and needs upscale, classy places like this to keep people around.

I really want to give a 3 for customer service, but I love all the cute décor items they sell so I have to rate higher. I feel like the staff member who was on today was not friendly toward myself or my friend, but was super nice to the person they were on the phone to, and other people in the store. It made our experience not as good as it could have been but I still managed to spend my money there on some adorable items.

Going into this shop is always such a delight. Whenever I walk by, I swear I will only take a peek but end up staying for at least fifteen minutes! The store is very sleek and well organized. Everything is easily accessible. Prices are on the higher side, but you’re paying for very high quality products. The staff are always very friendly and polite. I love this store and will continue to shop here. I suggest if you haven’t yet had the opportunity to visit that you make it a priority. You will not leave disappointed.

I love this store. I didn’t need any furniture, however, the selections are fun and funky to look at. The neutral colors of grey, black and white are similar to the furniture made popular for sale in the Seattle Fremont area. A lot of the things are more fashion than practical, however, awesome in craftsmanship.

Every time I am in New West, I must make a stop at this quaint little place! They’ve recently moved locations(only a few stores up), and no longer has a basement level. Although now just one floor, it’s jam packed with awesome finds for the bedroom, the living room and from wall décors to dinnerware! Lofty Living has classy decorative ornaments which can light up any place! It is also a great place for finding the perfect present for just about anyone on your list! What I love most is the Voluspa candles they have! They have a huge varieties and is sold at a much more reasonable place compared to the stores on West 4th!

I love this store and the way everything is so sleek and modern. They have couches and tables sized to fit apartments, and most of the furniture can be ordered in an array of fabrics and colours. Like many of the shops on this row, the main floor is small, but you go down into a big basement space to see most of the stock. The upstairs of this store draws me every time with its candles and bowls and smaller pieces of furniture, such as those neat footstools whose tops convert to mini tables. The downstairs has the furniture, and a wide selection of throw pillows and blankets. I’m a girl, so pretty, colourful, and comfortable pillows and blankets are a must in my home. They’re a little dear, pricewise, but if you dig a little, you can often find items marked down. The only problem with the set up is that cell phones sometimes go screwy in the basement, so husbands/boyfriends/shopping partners must locate their mates the old fashioned way. I can usually be found testing out all my new couches.
