Nicer location than the one at Market Crossing in Burnaby, Marine Drive b/c it’s cleaner, bigger and more light as it’s a corner location. Nice owner, mentioned he does catering, even for one cake as long as it’s a day’s notice, will deliver for free. Good to know for those in the area instead of picking up an average cake at Safeway’s lol.

So, I’ve come here multiple times for ice cream. Yes, ice cream. Not really worth it for the $$‘s you pay and the ice cream is nothing really exceptional. If you like your ice cream, it may be worth your while, but I can’t say that I enjoyed it that much. Small waffle bowl, one scoop, one topping, close to $ 6

Let me preface this by saying that Canadian ice cream is not my favourite thing in the world. It’s way too thick and creamy. I’m a gelato girl, I make my own from scratch at home, and Mario’s is on my speedial. The icecream is good, they have a lot of flavours and some good suggestions for blends. If you don’t like creamy thick icecream, I wouldn’t suggest going here, and the only real hook of this place is the novelty value of blending candy with icecream. It is definitely more expensive than I’d ever hope to pay for icecream, so it should be a treat, not a regular visit place.

Holy pretentiousness! It’s bloody ice cream for goodness sake, with stuff like crushed Oreos folded into it. They treat it like it is some sort of experience. I suppose it is, just not a good one. Brought my friend and her daughter here. It cost nearly $ 20 for three cones. Seriously, Marble Slab? It took nearly 15 minutes to get it as well. I suppose I was to feel treated watching an employee slowly folding in our chosen topping into the ice cream. They don’t even attempt to get the ice cream into the cone properly, so within minutes of getting outside I had ice cream dripping all over my hand. The taste? Nothing special. Should have just bought a small bucket of Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia for $ 7.00 and three plastic spoons. Would have been a better experience overall. There is nothing at all about this place that warrants its reputation.

Oh yes, summertime is here, Marble Slab will make your head spin. I came here for my Birthday and someone bought me one for my birthday so I am not sure how much one of these bad boys are, but they are like Willy Wonka in a Skor Bar dipped waffle cone. Crazy good, I had the Birthday cake flavour, Oreos, Butterfinger and strawberries on top, like a Blizzard that a on UFC. Yeah that’s right UFC is the replacement word for steroids. They use a chilled frozen slab that makes it extra cold but infuses the flavor. Enjoy!
