It’s interesting that almost no one has thought to review Moody Park until now, even me, the unofficial New West cheerleader. Maybe I take Moody Park for granted, usually just riding through on the bike path. But it has a lot going for it: a shady(sometimes the trees, sometime the vibe) children’s playground, a seasonal outdoor pool, well-used baseball fields and lacrosse and basketball courts, and open green space. My favourite thing in the summer is to stop by the lawn bowling club grounds and watch the players clad in white at their genteel game. The area is interesting, to say the least, and some of the locals can be encountered indulging in their little parties in corners of the park. Generally, it’s pretty clean and safe; personally, I stick to the sunnier side.

On nice days on the way to meeting the guy i am dating I get off a few steps early and walk in this park. It is a nice park to walk through, have a pic nic and or read a book. It is very well maintained with some nice flowers and green grass.
