The Quilt Store is your source for sewing, quilting, embroidery — and knitting and crocheting! — wisdom and inspiration. We carry sewing machines, embroidery machines and sergers from Baby Lock, Bernina, Handi Quilter, Husqvarna Viking, and Janome.

The Yarn Store… inside The Quilt Store holds the largest selection of yarn in the GTA, including Noro, Prism, HPKY, Debbie Bliss and Dye Hard Fibre Arts.

We offer classes for all ages in knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, embroidering, software and basic machine tech.

The Tech Shop services and supports machine repairs. Open Mon– Fri 9am — 5pm (closed weekends). 905−853−6532

History

Established in 1981.

Since 1981 our location has been a truly unique stitching destination. A loyal customer of Evelyn’s Sewing Centre, Madi purchased her favourite quilt shop in September 2006, and has continued to shape The Quilt Store into her vision of a great source for creative wisdom and inspiration.

Our focus: meeting our customers’ every need. We strive to provide expert service and support, excellent products, and educational classes.

The Quilt Store offers a wide variety of classes for all ages and skill levels, and we host a charity group which sews items for local hospitals.

We stock over 55,000 meters of fabric, lots of kits, and the best selection of notions, patterns & books. We sell sewing and embroidery machines from top brands, and have an in-​house service department.

In 2011, we introduced a new addition: The Yarn Store… inside The Quilt Store. Here we offer a huge selection of unique & hand-​dyed yarns, notions & classes.
