A friend and I went on a last minute trip to the falls. We planned on clubbing a bit and going back over the border to NY, but our level of intoxication did not allow. We called various cheap hotels and this place had the last decently priced room in the area. It was $ 109 for a two queen bed room. The location itself wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t in the hub of the falls, but it was a quick walk to many of the hot spots. The room we had was mostly clean. The floors were a bit dirty and dusty and the ceiling had some strange holes all over, but it beat sleeping in the car. The wifi was good, the TVs were nice, and the beds were pretty comfy. Next time me and my friend spend a bit too much on strippers at the Peppermints down the street, I think we’ll stay here again!

Last minute trip to the falls to be close to Niagara on the Lake, my son had a cub thing there. Finding a great place last minute on what seemed to be a busy weekend? Not so easy, when I was younger I stayed at motels all the time, but lately good hotels all the way. Not happening this weekend unless I wanted to go broke. So motel time. Keep in mind this place is NOT the Hilton,(or the Sheraton, or the Marriot), if you remember that you will probably be happy. The price was reasonable(140 for two nights), parking was free(a big plus in Niagara), it was clean(a big plus for me), the bed was comfortable, the pillows were ok, breakfast was included(mind you it was pretty much bagles and coffee/tea in the office, but hey its still a good way to start the day). The location is great, less then 5 minutes from the new casino, about 5 min to the falls, 15 – 20 min from Clifton Hill(walking). On the other hand, it is an older motel, the décor in our room was from the 70’s including wood pannelling, think 70’s cottage feel, the bedspread matched the drapes in the usual cheap motel way. Being a motel with doors opening to the parking lot, you could hear the traffic and other guests coming to their rooms, we could hear the next room quite well through the adjoining door. The bathroom faucet leaked when turned on, and there was an on and off again odor from the drain in the sink. The towels were small motel grade coarse things. Would I stay here again? If I’m on a budget yes. All the cons of this motel are pretty much the cons of staying in any older motel and are not specific to the Knights Inn, so all in all its not a bad place to stay if your on a budget.
