Buyer BEWARE– Manager/​Owner doesn’t care about Customers
My two girlfriends decided to each buy matching pattern poncho’s in different colours. To begin, the manager/​owner was pushy trying to get us to buy something (after we found the ponchos she was telling us how trendy scarves and other items were and how we should buy) which should have been a huge red flag.
The real issue began after I bought my poncho. Seconds after I paid for my poncho, I changed my mind on the colour I had bought and wanted to switch it for a different colour.
The new colour I wanted was even more on sale, so instead of a straight exchange I would have been given some money back (talk about a score, I was in retail shopping bliss)! When the cashier realized that there was a price difference she told me that they wouldn’t be able to refund me and that I would be given a store credit for the money I was owed.
I was shocked, given that I had literally just paid for it.
I went straight to the pushy sales woman who turned out to be the manager/​store owner. I felt super confident that she’d refund my money since I had just bought the poncho and I wanted a different colour– hey changing your mind on a colour happens, right?
To my shock and horror she said NO and then had the audacity to tell me that I should keep the navy colour I didn’t like and still buy the new colour that I preferred!
Bottom line– the owner is pushy and pretends to care about her customers, yet when real customer service is tested she only cares about the money.
Will not be going back and will be telling all of my friends parents who live nearby, to no longer go as well.

For a store in Niagara-​on-​the-​Lake to remain in business for over ten years, it has to be good. The local real estate agent Sotheby’s must have a revolving door to its entrance as many of the shops along Queen Street in Niagara-​on-​the-​Lake come and go with the frequency of trips made to the men’s room by an average guy in a bar.
Cecile’s, however, is quite elegant and refined, with a refined French Provincial ambiance. But unlike many of the neighboring stores with huge price tags on mediocre supposedly «designer» goods, this shop has some nice useful decorations, bric-​à-​brac, and items for the kitchen that are quite reasonable in price. With Cecile’s however, the store remains in business for years, whereas the newer stores that are supposedly «da bomb» frequently have a «going-​out-​of-​business sale» by January after difficulty in paying the huge rents on the main drag in Old Town.
