Tucked away amongst the many Niagara-on-the-Lake vineyards and orchards is Alois’ masterpiece Peach Trees Golf. It is a quiet, unassuming course for golfers of all abilities. Though the course is fairly short(only a 9, PW, SW, and putter are needed to play from the back tees), the postage stamp-sized greens will definitely test your short game abilities. Pull your shots left or right on some holes or get a bad bounce on others and you’ll end up in the adjacent orchards or smoldering bush piles. At $ 12 for 9 holes and $ 18 for 18, Peach Trees Golf is the best value for your money in the area. Definitely, a hidden jewel in the heart of wine country.

Bring the family and the kids — it is fun and low key. You’ll need your GPS to get you there though. No food but some drinks. Don’t plan to eat there. We were traveling through Niagara-on-the-Lake and looking for a nice low-pressure easy going casual golf place — neither of us are any great shakes as golfers. Peach Trees was great both in approach — very casual and low-key — and family friendly. All Par 3 holes set amongst peach and cherry orchards. A nice way to spend an hour or so in the afternoon. The nice lady running the place even ran out a nice big umbrella to us during a brief summer outburst. We’ll be back.
