Capilano Grind

The décor is warm… reminds me of a cabin. Ample seating and my latte was decent. There is a small charge for almond milk. Small charge which is very reasonable. In fact all the prices are very reasonable. I came here in March to meet my uncle who lives in North Van to chill. I appreciate the atmosphere. Barista made a mistake on my uncle’s drink, however, was apologetic and she made it right with a smile. Decent selection of pastries.

What a gem! Do a hike in grouse or capilano, skip Starbucks and come back here for some goodies and a coffee here.
Had the peach– mango muffin which was moist and delicious (not too sweet) and a fantastic iced brew coffee (14 hr process). Locals love it here — now know why.

*Good ‘n Cozy*
Been here a couple of times and both were good. Had a sandwich w/​salad and a peach smoothie this last trip. The turkey sandwich with peppered cheese was simple but good. The peach smoother was de-​lish! The salad was beyond the standard handful of greens thrown on the side of your plate. It was topped with loads of ripe red and yellow peppers, cucumber, and tomato cubed up — it looked quite nice. The first time there we had the smoked meat sandwich, quite generous with the smoked meat and lean too and a breakfast sandwich which is crazy cheap @ only $ 2.50! I could see others chowing on bowls of homemade soup and fresh baked treats. They had free wifi –handy– and outdoor patio seating. The indoors has lots of wood and a fireplace for winter months. Lunch + a tall Americano and all was good. It’s en route and handy to Grouse mountain + grind. There were a few tourist from the Capilano Suspension Bridge sitting next to us and we enjoyed a chat. All in all, this is a true little neighborhood café to grab a coffee or a bite… and sit outside (dog friendly too with a water bowl :) on a sunny day with a cold bev. Simple.
