She’s FIT!

one of the wrost gym ever. they will steal your money quietly after you cancel your membership and played stupid.
do not go there and waste your money on bad customer service.

The «She’s Fit» move from Cap Mall to Lonsdale is a big disappointment. It’s obvious they’re catering to the co-​ed format of Club 16 and not the women any more. It may have been dark and a bit shabby but Cap Mall was very well equipped for women. The new area is smaller and stuffed with useless machines in a circuit that is crammed into most of the available floor space. We lost the cable Lat Pulldown and there is no longer any leg press machine. This is supposedly a women’s gym and there are exactly two sets of 5 lb weights and two sets of 8 lbs. What a joke! There are racks of dumbbells 20 lbs and up that have never been touched. After complaining, they produced a pile of 1 lb and 3 lb weights that nobody uses. It’s almost impossible to find an uncluttered piece of floor space to work with free weights. And then there is the tiny parking area which is utterly inadequate — too few spaces with the stalls so tight that you can barely squeeze out of your car without hitting the next one or a concrete pillar. I would not recommend this gym for anyone who’s into serious fitness, or unless you like to be herded around machine circuits directed by young women reading off prepared scripts.

Wow — been a She’s Fit member for years at the Capilano Mall location. Loved it — but the new location at Club 16 is terrible. Everything is crammed in — especially the circuit. The cardio boxes for the circuit are lined up in two rows — each one touching another. There is no way you could do cardio work out right beside someone else who is that close to you. There are three different levels to the She’s Fit part — if someone has a problem with stairs — it is going to be very difficult for them to get around. The worst part is — they have dropped at least a dozen of the really good weight machines. I have spoken with a number of other members who came from the Capilano gym and they too feel the same way. I will be canceling my membership. So disappointed!!!

The «fitness assessment» is pretty funny. I had a 20 year old try hard to sell me on a meal plan, when it was clear she had no knowledge of the fundamentals of nutrition and she wasn’t really listening to what I was saying anyway. That was a total waste of $ and i was told it was mandatory but it turns out it’s not so that’s disappointing.
I’ve showed up twice for classes and twice they have been cancelled… or actually never seen a class in session there… and yes I had called to book into the class but when I arrived there was «no record» of it.
The place is cheap. It’s really the only good thing I can say about it. I’d go elsewhere if there was somewhere closer.

Love the facility! Staff is great. I only wish the hours were longer. I start work at 8am on Saturdays and I usually am not fine until 530 – 6. So I don’t get to work out on Saturdays. Other than that I have really enjoyed my membership
