Consistently impressive! ! This place has some of the best breakfast and lunch in all of Vancouver. The digger burger is my favorite but everything I’ve eaten here has been excellent. The staff are friendly and polite. You will not be disappointed! The venue is small so a large party may not be appropriate here when it’s busy… which it usually is because everyone always goes back!

What you need to know: 1. If more than two people be prepared to wait. 2. This establishment is tiny 3. It’s partially self serve, have to get your own coffee 4. They do have a patio 5. In my opinion not kid friendly. I love Tommy’s but it’s a little cramped can get VERY hot at times. The food here is solid. I usually get the Hunky Bo breakfast. Five perogies, two eggs, toast, Ukrainian sausage and pan fried… whew! Instead I just got the two egg breakfast. It was okay think next time I’ll stick to my regular. I can’t say anything bad or outstanding. It’s your regular breakfast place.

Awesome food and service. We managed to get in before the rush, so that was fortunate. We had the bacon benny and waffle/egg/meat combo.

Definitely a solid choice for breakfast. The service is quick and everyone was really nice. Food was definitely good, they have a ton of options and everything was cooked well. They have a self serve coffee bar that I loved. Super cute. Atmosphere is cute and small. Not good for groups or really any parties bigger than 2. But nice for a cute and quick breakfast.

I often have have hangovers. Tommy’s always fixes them. If you have a hangover, get brunch at Tommy’s. The line may be discouraging but the service is fast and the breakfasts are life saving.

Only wanted to give it 2.5 stars. Just had breakfast there. I had the tommyhash and the hash tasted liked chopped luncheon meat and everything else was just bland. Hollandaise was blah, eggs were perfect, and hash browns were too big. Overall overpriced for what you get. Tommy’s is however the only place in lynn valley that you can got to for the local diner vibe. If you’re in a pinch and hungry, give it a go. If you want fantastic food, look elsewhere.

It was okay, I guess! Nothing special here. There are really only 12 tables so that explains the sometimes line up to get in, but I think it’s old diner feel is what’s more attractive than the food. I had waffles with scrambled eggs. My partner had eggs benny over a pan scramble. My milk was ice cold, thankfully! I would however like to return here for lunch or dinner. I’ll bet they have a great cheeseburger.

Worth the drive across the bridge. Good menu with lots of options. The tofu scramble was excellent. I was 4 mouthfuls in before I remembered it was tofu and not eggs! Very good serve yourself coffee. Well staffed, fast and friendly service. Tasty food, short wait, very clean. I will come back here for sure.

Wowsers! We took a wrong turn in Lynn Valley and ended up parking at a little dollar store to pick up a few things… noticed a cute little restaurant serving breakfast… and from the moment we walked in we were Wow’d! Michell, the manager on duty was sooooo nice and personable, the food was perfect(great huge menu), and Rielly our server did everything right! Stop in for breakfast some time, you wont regret it. Near San Francisco, in Sonoma County California, there’s another favourite restaurant that reminded us of Tommy’s. A true gem for the northshore.

Dont really understand the hype… at all. Actually really disappointed. Stopped by for brunch right before going on a hike at Lynn Canyon. We waited about 20 minutes for table since its a pretty small place. I tried the corned beef hash with poached eggs. I would give it a 2⁄5. It was just very bland and nothing stood out — just tasted like stir fried veggies. The best part of the dish was the poached eggs. it tasted so fresh and high quality! Also ordered the Big Kahuna and The Dubliner. Everything was very mediocre… like a breakfast you’d make at home. Nothing really stood out — just really monotone and bland. Really the only thing we talked about during the meal was the fact that we thought the eggs tasted so fresh and high quality.

Stopped here before a hike up Lynn Canyon. Food was outstanding, plus the service was quick and friendly. Was exactly the type of place we were looking for to start out our morning. Great patio seating and serve yourself coffee. Would definitely stop here again next time I’m in the area.

Thank you Unilocal! My family and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast/brunch at Tommy’s. As visitors to the area we were looking for a place for breakfast and what a joy to find this place. I loved the cozy vibe, fresh tasty food and great coffee. I wish I could come here everyday. My kids said their waffles were light, fluffy, and crispy. My husband’s corned beef hash was freshly made. My sandwich and coffee were so good I struggled to put them down! Everything about this little place just fits so well together, it’s like it was meant to be.

Came here after spending some time at Lynn Canyon. It’s a cute, little restaurant mostly visited by locals. Had the big kahuna. It came with waffles, eggs, bacon and potatoes. It came very quickly. The waffles were a little burnt, but still fluffy. Wasn’t a big fan of the potatoes. They were cut quite large and there were quite a lot of them. I think they were baked or boiled. I’m a fan of pan fried or deep fried potatoes. Overall a nice place to stop in and have a bite if you in the area and are super hungry.

Cozy place with great eats. Went for the Roma omelette with the kid’s splitting a Big Kahuna(2 waffles, bacon, eggs, potatoes, whipped cream, strawberries). All ingredients were fresh and orders were made to requests. Great chow before jumping outdoors for an adventure. Recommend arriving as early as possible. We did wait a bit and tables do clear fairly quickly, but the waiting area is small. Staff was excellent and very easy going.

Great breakfast and great employees. Go here for a good time, just allow a few extra minutes for waiting in line.

Being a tourist in Vancouver and decided to try this place out on the way to the Suspension bridge. Tommy’s Café had a great ambiance with its unique décor and size which really gave them their own swag. Service was great, waiter was helpful describing items on the menu we were unsure of and even went to the back to get a list of all the beers they had available. I ordered the Fungi eggs benedict; the pesto added a nice flavor to the nicely poached egg, bacon, mushrooms and the hollandaise sauce wasn’t overpowering. I had some of my girlfriend’s French Toast, which was not anything special. The self-serve coffee had a great selection of coffee(I had the Mexican dark roast) and was the first place that I’ve ever seen do that. I gave Tommy’s Café a 4 star rating and not a 5 because it didn’t blow me away or anything. However, it was a great experience and the food was great.

HUNGERMAN was especially hungry on this particular morning. He woke up starving and ready to demolish everything in his path. HUNGERMAN had his sights on Tommys and he was frothing to get over there and start the feeding. Ordered waffles and eggs– both were cold. HUNGERMAN was very upset(kind of like the feeling of being stood up for a date, though that’s never actually happened to HUNGERMAN) but I imagine its the same feeling. I did order the add on Nutella and Bananas which saved the day a bit but not enough for us to come back for a return visit anytime soon. Normally HUNGERMAN would return cold food but He had an eating schedule to keep that day so He didn’t. Not a great first impression, waffles were pre-maid also. Kind of overpriced. The diner itself is quaint and cozy. Service was good. Coffee selection was good.

Wow. Just exactly the perfect breakfast. Several super delicious coffees available instantly in carafes — don’t we all hate waiting for a refill? Great funky cozy atmosphere, nice staff, good service and the best non-traditional Eggs Benny I’ve ever had. The Don Juan was a masterpiece. The hot sauce on the tables was so so good. We loved it the first time we came quite a while ago but hadn’t been back because we tend to sleep in late on weekends and this place gets extremely busy as their breakfasts are legendary– they’ve go a ton of regulars– what a great neighbourhood restaurant!

From the outside, this café is a little scary, but once you get inside, you can recognize the café’s charm. We had a short wait when we arrived, but there is a help yourself coffee bar that we utilized on our wait. The breakfast menu is extensive, and everything looks delicious, so my group also liked the wait time to decide wait to order. Even though we arrived at around 10am on a Sunday morning, the wait was only about 20 minutes. I ordered an omelet and was pleasantly surprised to see there was an option to order egg whites(with an upcharge, but I’m used to that). The omelet was flavorful and had a good egg to ingredient ratio. The only thing that bothered me was how dirty the outside door was, I hope the kitchen is cleaner…
