I was referred to them by a fellow fisherman who suggested we split our catch and have them smoke it. I was no prepared for the deliciousness that came from these guys. I can’t keep enough available to add to bagels and quick snacks — what a treat. Don’t expect to get your fish back fast, it’s usually a 3 – 4 week wait… albeit well worth it.

I have been cold smoking my salmon and steelhead here for several years now and have found their quality and service to be excellent. I recently had my steelhead cold smoked and it was really delicious. In my case, I always ask for less salt as I prefer my lox mild and soft. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to have their salmon cold smoked.

I learned about Yoshi’s from a fellow fisherman who recommended bringing our salmon catch home to get smoked here, rather than having it smoked by the pricey processing plant affiliated with the lodge we were at. WOW, was I impressed! I smoked 14 lb of cohoe, and it cost me $ 60. It was ready in 6 weeks, since it was the season peak. They vacuum packed it in ½ lb portions but you can choose any portion you want, and you can get it double-smoked for an extra 75 cents per pound. We had it smoked regular, and got 14 half-pound packets for 61 $. Can’t beat that… plus it tastes amazing… literally melts in your mouth. We will be back! The only drawback is that they don’t slice it for you, and they require cash.
