Worse kebabs ever! Avoid this place if you love yourself and your body! Greasiest food I’ve ever had in my whole life, super unhealthy, super disgusting!

Super great till the last bite. We went late and it was great, she said everything is fresher in the morning. I would like to try again in the morning. Also great for people whom are night owls because it was open till 12 on a Sunday night.

Very very good falafels. The best I’ve ever had! My only critique is that they really need to tone down the amount of styrofoam they use for their food. I find their practices to be very bad for the environment. Come on guys, spend a few more cents per order and stop polluting!

It was tasty but the service was extremely rude.

It’s alright. It’s just fast food Persian food and donairs. I don’t expect the world from this place. Sometimes a guy just want a greasy kabob in a sangak with raw red onions. Staff is friendly enough because I’m not here to make friends. Other reviewers need to calm down and not expect a nice kiss on the ass before buying a $ 4.99 koobideh in sangak.

I’ve eaten here about a dozen times. Always been good food. The service has always been slow but to be expected as they assemble your Donair fresh. Today though I got a new topping. Crushed glass. In my food. I called them and they immediately passed the buck to their supplier and offered me more murder on a plate. No Thank You.

The donairs here are stuffed. Not cheap, but you wouldn’t get the same amount of food.

I either get the chicken donair or chicken/lamb combo plate. They give you loads of meat and jam pack either the pita or the plate box at its fullest. The way they wrap the donair is great too as most places will break apart easily even with less stuffing. It is so jammed but still keeps together which is very important if you don’t want it all on your lap. Make sure to get the fries and drink combo with the donair as the fries are so well done and the garlic sauce it comes with makes it super tasty. They open pretty late too and living a block away makes it a no brainer to frequent. Pricing is good as well.

One of the Best Donairs on the North Shore and in Vancouver. Kind of pricey, but the donairs are huge always made fresh packed with lots of meat. Yummy also has kebab’s served with this cool flat bread called sangak made in house. Kebab will take aleast 15mins cook.

Food is ok but the staff is atrocious. At 2pm it shouldn’t take over 20 minutes to order and get your meal. The Australian working there is totally out to lunch. Don’t substitute or add anything it caused mass confusion … Fast food Persian fail.

A bit overpriced for what it is but there aren’t many donair options in North Van. The chicken kabab is actually really great. The donair is okay. The quality of the food is inconsistent(Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it tastes like old leftovers). Portions are also inconsistent and depends on who is serving you. It’s a clean place, The staff are friendly. Overall I think it has the potential to be an amazing place but not quite there yet.

The koobideh is horrible due to the huge amount of spice so I couldn’t taste the meat at all… the donair is delicious and juicy, wow, what a surprise… actually if you want an alternative for your burger, the donair is the solution… but be careful as it’s not the healthiest food existing…

Solid 3.5 stars. Being in North Vancouver with its high-density of Persians, no one can doubt authenticity here. Amazing value as most items are $ 5 – 7, and you’ll be satisfied. It’s got lots of seating area, corner location but the parking truly sucks as you can only park on the side street, uphill I may add.

We had their ground beef kabobs with bread and basil. They were delicious. However, they overcharged us on pop. This place is a goldmine if they keep this up. Will definitely go back.

As a native persian I was extremely happy to see a donair place open up near my home, however that excitement soon turned bitter sweet as came inside. The place certainly lacked the décor of my native homeland and simply missed the grace and charm of a traditional persian restaurant. That being said the meat was properly displayed and rotating in a very succulent manner which helped redeem this establishment from its lack luster interior. Thus I decided to sample the lamb donair, while I now had lowered expectations as I hardly expected them to nail such a traditional persian dish but I was pleasantly surprised, they certainly know how to cook a donair. They really nailed the spice and the garlic sauce was to die for. So overall good effort with room for improvement.

This was one of the only places I have been able to find that serves donair, and is clean, in North Van. I have tried the chicken, lamb, and beef donair, and while it is not the best I have ever had, it is juicy and fresh and makes a satisfying meal. I think it is reasonably priced. as it ranges from $ 5.99-$ 7.99 depending on the type that you get. It is served inside a type of pita bread, and it comes with a variety of sauces and veggies inside, including hot sauce, tzatziki, cucumbers, tomato and lettuce, as well as a few other vegetables. You are also able to make the entrée into a combo with fries and a drink and the fries are DELICIOUS, and way better than I could have ever imagined. There are other items on their menu as well, which I have not tried but friends of mine have and they were always satisfied with their meals. Another other major plus to this place is their hours of operation. They are open from 11am to 12am Monday to Saturday and 12pm-12am on Sunday, and it is a nice play to go for both lunch and for a late dinner. My final comment is about their bakery. There is a bakery that is attached to the restaurant where they make fresh breads and such. I have never gone specifically to the bakery, but during the days they do sell fresh sangak bread, which is a flatbread of sorts, and it is giant. It is around a meter in length and the sell a package for only $ 2. It is absolutely delicious and it is great to take home and make wraps in. It also freezes pretty well, and then you just pop in into the oven to heat it,. All in all, this is my favorite donair spot in North Van, and is worth checking out at least once.

Wonderful beef and chicken donairs. All of the ingredients are fresh and they do not skimp on the fillings.

I’ve been here a few times and will not bother commenting on the shawarma. It’s fine, but I’m not a shawarma guy anymore and these guys are Persian so I feel I should rate them on their specialties, not a food product that people just associate with anything from the middle east. The joojeh kabab(chicken skewer) served on sangak bread with basil, tomato and onion, was so simple yet so delicious. HIghly recommend it and you don’t need sauces or other condiments to go with it. Everything served is moist and juicy as is, so don’t bother messing with a great thing. Also, they have their own sangak bakery in the back and sell them for $ 2 all-in! If you’re not persian, grab one of these big breads, drop a toonie, go home and cut them up into squares(with the plastic wrap still on). Then stack em and put em into ziploc bags to freeze. Sangak is best when you have it fresh and hot and stales out pretty quick because there are no preservatives. When you freeze, you can easily separate them due to the plastic wrap you left between and toast them up for later use.

I live just down the block and I find myself at Yummy Donair once or twice a week. The donair meat is spiced to perfection and their sauces are fantastic. Their Kababs are also quite nice(I love a good vaziri) and the portions are generous; you really feel like you’re receiving value. And who doesn’t love freshly baked Persian Sangak bread??? Overall friendly and prompt service, reasonable prices, delicious foods, and open LATE! I love this place so much, I hope they don’t go anywhere anytime soon. (My fave: Super Sized Chicken Platter with a side of tzatziki after a workout!!) Thanks a lot Yummy!

* Persian fast food * North Vancouver is home to a lot of Persian places. This one is a bit off the normal cluster near Lonsdale, and instead down off Marine Drive. It also is more of a fast food style(order at the counter subway style) type place instead of a sitdown restaurant. Persian fast food, if you like. I ordered the large koobideh on sangak for a very reasonable $ 6.99. It is also available in a smaller version(one skewer and one tomato instead of two of each) for an extremely reasonable $ 4.99. After ordering they fired up the skewers and tomatoes on the grill and prepared them fresh. Nice. When they were done cooking they removed them from the skewers using a nice piece of very fresh sangak(I think I saw them baking sangak in the back industrial sized kitchen as well!), add some fresh basil leaves, and a chunk of raw onion to make a very nice overall plate: The koobideh was well seasoned and cooked perfectly so it was very juicy, the tomatoes had a nice char with the tender soft insides, and the ton of fresh basil added a nice flavour dimension. Wrapping a piece of the koobideh in a ripped off piece of sangak with some basil and a little bit of onion was such at treat! Why couldn’t all fast food be like this? I’ll definitely be back.
