Just the worst experience ever. I cracked my tooth and he stabbed the numbing in me like a nightmare. So much pain. Pulled my front tooth out so brutally. It was horrible. I thought to myself this is how it should be. So i went back to him to get my implant even though the X-ray showed i didn’t have enough bone yet. He attempted to do a «shallow» implant. ???what? this is going to cost around 5000 after all is said and done, so half way through he said there wasn’t enough bone and did a bone graft. Even though i wanted to have this done in a hospital where it would of been covered by OHIP, but at this moment i didn’t have any choice but allow him to do it for me. Then HISBOOKINGSECRETARY!!! she has attitude. she is awful. Gave me an appt that she knew i would have to wait over one hr for. I left the office without having my follow up check up… He simply just cares about himself and not about his clients. I will NEVER return and I will not refer anyone to his office ever. I have to make a follow up appt. with my regular DR. to help me heal my gums after i was severely brutalized. TALKABOUTROUGH. you have no idea how this was a horrible experience for me.

My experience at Metropolitan Oral Surgery Centre under the care of Dr. Moncarz was excellent. The Sheppard office was very clean and the staff were extremely caring. They work efficiently and truly care about the care the patients receive. Dr. Moncarz was very attentive to my needs and ensured I felt comfortable before and after the procedure(I was sedated as many patients choose). The aftercare was excellent and I received a call at home the following business day to make sure I was doing well. After the procedure I experienced no pain and only mild discomfort for a few days. I would definitely recommend Dr. Moncarz at the Sheppard location.

So, at the ripe ol’ age of 33, I finally had my wisdom teeth out. I’m t-t-terrified of dentists. I actually get teary when I go for a cleaning. It’s embarrassing. So you can imagine how I was dreading my visit to the oral surgeon. Thank goodness for Dr. Moncarz and the rest of the staff here. They were amazing. Friendly. Patient. Funny. Thorough. Dr. Moncarz himself was funny, friendly, and took the time to explain things to me in as much depth as I wanted. I was greatly reassured by the time I left my consultation appointment and arrived for my surgery feeling only minimally nervous. I was seen exactly on time for all of my appointments and everything seemed quite efficient while I was being seen. The staff were willing to work with me to book appointments around my crazy schedule. Dr Moncarz made sure I was armed with enough medications to deal with the pain I’d have after having four wisdom teeth(two impacted) removed under general anesthetic. He also reviewed the post-op instructions me with as well as providing a detailed handout that I could read again later. I even received a call from the office the day after my surgery checking in to see how things were going and address any questions. One star off because the clinic is a bit cluttered and the kind of dirty that happens when a place has been open for years and years. I have no concerns about safety(and I’m a nurse — I feel like I’m a pretty good judge of cleanliness and sterility), but the appearance of the place could have been more reassuring. That said, I was thrilled with the whole team and everything went as well as can be expected when you’re having teeth yanked out of your head. I’d definitely recommend Dr. Moncarz should you ever be in need of similar services.
