1. Mower sharpening: My Gardena push lawn mower had to be sharpened, some years ago. I called Gardena Canada and they sent me to Express Small Engine. John (the son) is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Jack (the father) is an expert. My mower came back razor sharp, effective, very easy to push — saves time and energy when I have to cut grass. I have been going to them every since. Great place and highly recommended!
2. Hedge Shear sharpening: I purchased a pair of Japanese hedge shears (for $ 99, now $ 129) from Lee Valley Tools 9 years ago. They are very sharp, well balanced, light and easy to use. After 9 years, blades were not very sharp. Lee Valley Tools recommended sharpening at a Home Hardware (they no longer provide this service). Luckily, John sharpened the hedge shears and another curved blade hedge shears while I waited. Service was great, inexpensive and quick. Thank you very much!
