Restoration Hardware

Great store for inspiration but not for price point. Like pottery barn or William Sonoma, get inspired then go somewhere else to find the same or similar item. We do that without the restoration hardware price (and I do own restoration hardware furniture too but never bought it at the store since we buy second hand)
Overall, the quality is great but you need the space to fit their furniture!

We were looking to replace some dining room chairs which this store had. Sales lady was nice, but she forgot to mention the price was in USD until the very end. Sorry, but did we just cross the Canadian border when we walked thru their doors? WTF, That’s just unheard of! Lucky we didn’t sign on the dotted line yet… Go to Elte or Barrymore instead! Don’t waste your time here.

This is a mid to high-​end furniture store. It is also carrying lots of smaller house decoration items. I love to always spend some times to see their beautiful furnitures and to search around what’s new there when I am at Bayview Village.
I finally made a purchase this time. I and friend saw the very cozy and comfortable cushions. They were on sale at 20% off. We were tempting cuz they would look good on our sofas. The sales lady helped us checking the stock in their inventory room at the back of the store. She was all the way friendly chatting with us and providing suggestions. This is what we called selling technique, or maybe she was born a good sales person? We both loved the cushions and they were of good deal, but they were not as necessary. This nice sales lady helped us make the purchase decision fast. Ended up, I went back and brought one more. They are of very good quality and make my sofa a totally new look. Happy purchase ever:)

I was wary of ordering from here, given the reviews, but I’m glad we decided to order our chairs here. Decent price for the styles you’re getting, some may find it a tad expensive, but really for real wood and these styles, where are you getting cheaper? We knew we didn’t want to get into custom options because they’re always late, so we selected something in stock at that US warehouse. Within 5 days, the chairs were delivered problem free and look beautiful. Dom at their store helped get things done smoothly. I’m thrilled with my purchase.
Regarding the USD complaint that some folks have — well I guess given the volumes, a lot of furniture stores are following this model – Westelm, Pottery Barn etc– and Restoration Hardware is no different. Dom, who sold us the furniture was smarter. He didn’t quote any USD price, just what it’ll cost me per chair delivered to home and my total. Also, if you have any USD on you (we used our USD credit card), the purchase is cheaper without the conversion.

Overpriced. arrogant, rude and not very concerned about CANADIAN CUSTOMERS.
If they don’t have the means to provide service and reasonable prices to Canadians, then close your Canadian stores and get out of the country!
WHY should anyone have to pay an extra 20% surcharge because your company fails to stock items here in Canada?
FURTHER, I’m shopping in a store that is LOCATED IN CANADA, and yet if I place any order, I have to pay the 20% surcharge PLUS convert the total into US DOLLARS!!!
And then, to add insult to injury, they want to charge 13% HST on TOP of those prices, and even the Canadian HST that is collected is ALSO converted to US DOLLARS!!!
This is ridiculous indeed!

We purchased a large order from RH back in July. Over $ 20,000 worth. We had absolutely horrible service and the worst experience. For that much money, we definitely expected more and would not ever buy from them again.
1. Our dining table had to be sent back twice because of a large scratch on the surface
2. The dining chairs damaged our new hardwood floors
3. The couch had a large tear in the front
4. The sales associate convinced us to purchase 10 dining chairs for the table. But when it arrived, it could only fit 8.
Lastly, when the basement couch didn’t fit (due to narrow stairs), we returned it. We called the store to see what other options we had, and were told that «you can return it, or get another couch at another store … whatever you want». So basically the sales person told us to go elsewhere.
… And we did.

Omg, I fell in love with this awesome place. Staff there were super super nice. And everything in the store is just fantastic! It brought back all my childhood memories when I walked into that store. And it want that pricy either.

I have to start with an OMG. I walked by the store the other day, and my heart stopped as I caught sight of these fantastic chandeliers. I’m in love.
The store is filled with super fantastic furniture and accessories. And the staff was super nice. Every thing is super big — not too many people have room in their house for a 12 ft dining table, but things here are beautiful none the less.
Love. Love. Love.

Furniture here seems built to the scale of a large-​ish house rather than a condo, so I surmise the target demographic doesn’t include the rapidly growing condo population in this neighbourhood. Ordinarily I really don’t like furniture or furniture shopping as it’s mind-​numbingly boring, but some of the pieces in here are really stunning. In fact, this place makes me realize why I hate furniture shopping… at OTHER stores. The lighting here is superb enough to transport you into the homey fantasy of your shopping dreams. I’d gladly outfit my entire home from this store, but the sad part is that just looking here has spoiled me for life. Every other furniture store seems sadly lacking by comparison.
The quality of everything certainly looks impressive and that’s a good thing because you want these pieces to last a few generations when you pay these prices.
Please put me on the list as a loyal future client after I make in in the big time.

This store is a dream for all home decorations.
All of the store’s furniture and accessories for the home are classic and trendy, with amazing uses of woods, metals and colours.
As someone who will be moving out in a few months into my first apartment, I have already visited this store with my mom a few times to get some great decorating ideas.
Unfortunately some of the stuff is out of my price range at this point, but it is a great place if you want to spruce up your home with the latest in designer furniture or purchase any discounted pieces or accessories.
