Not too long ago I stepped nervously into into a surgical room at Humber River to have an RNY Gastric Bypass done — here I am 10 months later, happy, healthy, and 175 lbs lighter (and counting!) I had no complications, minimal scarring, and a very fast recovery time. I very literally put my life into Dr. Sohi’s hands and he did a fantastic job — how could I not give 5 stars?
It’s worth noting that his whole surgical team would get a 5 star from me too. This was the first surgery I ever had, and I was extremely scared, but his team were so reassuring and comforting that in those last few moments before I was knocked out by the anaesthetic I knew everything was going to be okay — and I can’t express how important that feeling was.
In recovery he came multiple times to check up on me, as well as before I left the hospital.
He always takes his time with you in your appointments and follow-​ups, even if he is running behind schedule or a bit pressed for time because he wants to ensure to be thorough. He doesn’t sugar coat things and is very blunt, but I like that in a doctor!
Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about the guy. If you are going through the bariatric surgery process and are assigned Dr. Sohi as your surgeon, you can rest assured that you are in good hands!
