First, I will give an account of the events. I made an order from the Goose on firkin, and half of my order was wrong. I ordered two fried chicken sandwiches plain with no tomatoes, lettuce, and none of the green sauce. I received everything I did not order on the sandwich. I checked before I left the restaurant. I informed them the order was wrong. They took the food back to the kitchen to make what I thought would be new sandwiches. Upon further inspection I came to realize; all they did was take the lettuce, and tomatoes off. I turned the chicken over to discover all the did was scrap the sauce off of the chicken. They half did that: there was still sauce on the chicken. They know they did wrong, because, they turn the chicken over. Who does that?(the goose at firkin does). I mean what kind of back-woods behavior is that? If you make a mistake; you fix it with new chicken. Now, the staff. To the manager: I feel sorrow for you. It is difficult when you are too nice. You would not have to have 8,000 specials on the sign out front, if you would make sure your staff were consistent, and providing quality product. Those people working for you have no invested interest in the total success of your business. It’s you who will take the brunt of the blame. To the waitstaff, I was a waiter once, and I did my job very well. Now, I’m a multi-millionaire. It will be a great asset to you to adopt a better work-ethic. For if you wake, one day in the future, and you are still doing the same type of work; it is because of you. These bars /pubs are horrible.

Really fun place. I love the layout, it’s great for a live but relaxed night out with friends. There’s a variety of tables low and high top, and there’s a cool area of mixed couch/furniture. The spaces are divided well keeping the atmosphere open and welcoming. Cool crowd, activities like Pool and Darts available which makes it more fun(darts are free, pool is 2 $ per game). I didn’t eat anything that night but the food looks good, and is relatively priced I guess. Drinks are cheap! Patio is spacious and there is a good amount of parking. Also TTC accessible. Service was awesome, waitresses are really nice! Would make this a regular spot.

Passed this place many times but decided to try this location. Nice looking décor but that’s as far as it goes. Service was good, very friendly and attentive. The food was average but nothing amazing to be honest. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries — Chicken was good but fries were meh. It looked like it was mixed with an old batch of fries. The beer was a definite miss. They have daily specials and for some reason Creemore was flat. I ordered a Canadian — it was good cold beer and carbonated. My friend ordered a Canadian as well and it was flat. Not sure how that works out. So she opted for a bottle to avoid more«flat beer». Would I come back? Probably not. At least they have decent wifi which doesn’t compensate for much. This place 2.5 stars at most.

A pretty chill bar to hang out with some friends. Love that it has activities like billiards and darts and a nice big patio area with plenty of seating. Beer was a miss tonight. The Moosehead was on special, $ 5 for a pint ~ after a long day of softball, I was so looking forward to drinking the antlers(it’s one of my fave beers). Unfortunately, all of our beers were flat… so disappointing. Some of us had to ask to switch for a Barking Squirrel, while others at our table just decided to suffer through it. After the beer issue, I also noticed my cutlery had dried food encrusted on them. I didn’t want to complain again, so I just cleaned it myself at the table. Not a lover of the food. I ordered fish and chips and my friend ordered the cobb salad and a poutine. The fish was just mediocre… I didn’t think it was worth the $ 16. I’ve had better. Fries were mushy and not very hot. The poutine was also underwhelming — it was the same mushy fries swimming in gravy and cheese curds. I did like the cobb salad though, as it had a generous amount of blue cheese. Love blue cheese. Felt everything was a little overpriced for what you get. Women’s washroom stalls very tight — the one I was in had an inward opening door which almost touched the toilet when open. I couldn’t figure out where I was expected to stand in order to get out. Had to basically hop over the toilet. I guess the only reason I would go back is if I have another softball game in the area, and probably only for drinks or shared appetizers.

Decent bar with a nice décor Especially liked the big lounge area with plenty of couches and sitting space. The bar area was also pretty nice, with a couple of attractive ladies chilling and being hit on by other customers :) There was also a nice new pool table, and other people playing darts in the corner. There aren’t a lot of customers because it’s more of a suburb neighborhood bar, which is nice because you don’t have to push and shove. Overall, a pretty cool bar with a nice vibe.

Great place for an easy going laid back fun date. Good drinks, lots of room and an awesome patio too! Pool and darts is a nice ice breaker so you don’t have to just order drinks staring at each other. Another great establishment in the Firkin chain.

Was very pleased with The Goose, was expecting to be left with a tasteless over priced meal that was gluten and dairy free. To my great pleasure the staff/chief was most accommodating to my needs(exceeding my expectations), making alternative suggestions to the meal to make it fit within what I could eat, it made for a wonderful night out with my CoWorkers and mate. I would totally recommend it to anyone else with Gluten Intolerance or out right Celiac. As the Chief seemed to have a good grasp of cross contamination issues and what not which was a welcomed change for a dining experience.

No longer show UFC fights as it isn’t economically worth it for them anymore. Interior has been renovated which is a lot nicer. More loungier now with sofa’s and arm chairs. Food is also different. All the Firkin pubs have the same menu now. They used to have perogies here which were unbelievable but that is no longer an option. Food is still good and waitstaff is quick and attentive. Also. Cold Beer!

I never been to the«old» Goose before the reno, but I love the«new» Goose and Firkin! Love those casual mix and match armchairs, sofas, ottoman… having a drink there with friends are just like hanging out in someone living room! Service here is super friendly and nice. Specials seems to be decent: For every pint of Guinness you drink, you receive a free take home souvenir pint glass! We of course ordered that!(please check because it may be just for limited time?) Sunday night is Moosehead for $ 5.50 a pint which is decent and of course we need to have a pint on green beer on St Patrick Day! And now to drunk food… we shared Stuffed Yorkie($ 8.50) — Yorkshire pudding stuffed with braised pot roast, mashed potatoes and smothered in our rich Guinness gravy — Just like any pub food, I do find the gravy overloaded with salt — But the pudding itself I found it taste A-OK. Live performance, pool tables, darts are also available too! I definitely will be back for a drink next time when I am in the area!

It took me and my friends forever to try this place but it was alright. The crowd is mostly guys who are nearing midlife crisis, thus chugging as much beer as possible to relive their glory days of being college students. I presume these are married guys with families but came out to hit on young ladies, which is gross. Wings, tacos and nacho were memorable though in a positive way, which wasn’t good for our diets. They could be better but we had no complaints, especially wings because they were actually good with tikka masala sauce. Interesting choice of beers as they had Sam Adams on tap, which was surprising as this is not commonly found at bars. The ambiance is typical British pub style. At times the noise was too excessive, which made it impossible for us to carry on our conversations.

I found my new local haunt. Great modern British pub nestled in Don Mills and perfect for locals to enjoy a beer and pub grub. The food was great, beers to suit any pallet and lively atmosphere. Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

First off… I love the new much needed reno! They’ve opened up the space and went all modern Brit. They got rid of all the banquette seating with the high backs that block out everything. The new space is open and much brighter. Unfortunately, the food still tastes like is cooked from frozen. Had the stuffed Yorkie and it tasted like freezer burn. There was a similar complaint about the burgers. In this warm weather, they probably didn’t stick it in the freezer right away. The prices on the menu seemed to have gone up as well. Anyways. all the nice décor in the world can’t make up for the food. which is too bad, cause I really like the space now.

I’ve been coming to this Firkin for about 13 years now. I even worked there for a short stint. That said, I love this place. It’s cozy and warm. The servers are nice and friendly. The menu keeps changing but for the better… The All Day Breakfast is fantastic, as well as the Grilled Vegetable & Goat Cheese wrap…*drool*. Their wings are super too! It’s one of the only places that I actually enjoy wings from. They are medium-sized, and don’t have that weird orange grease/oil that some wing places have… and their wing dip is THEBEST. I could eat it with everything(in fact I always get it on the side). It’s the perfect dipping sauce! When you order fries there, order them super well done with a wing dip on the side. You can thank me later.

A Firkin funny name… the locals tell me a firkin is a keg — not sure what that firkin means but I’ll firkin take it. Not sure where the goose comes in either. Firkin aside, it’s a basic bar and English style restaurant. The food was ok, the burgers decent and the pub specials were tasty though you could tell they were microwaved. A good place for a drink with the buddies or a quick after-work visit, but nothing out of the ordinary.
