Sadly, The Tea Leaf is CLOSED and replaced by another DavidsTea…

This tea shop/café is utterly charming but it’s very expensive. I really can’t blame them though; I’m sure the rental rates for space in Bayview are outrageous. Still, $ 9 for a slice of quiche seems a bit of a stretch. The tea here is always good and I love that they brew it for you. No slap-dash, water-stained, stainless steel jobbies here. Staff seem sweet and keen to pour you the ultimate cup. Sadly, I heard a rumor they are closing…

I have come here numerous times so I thought that it was about time to write a review. Located in the Bayview Village Shopping Centre, it is surprisingly quiet when you go inside. Whenever I’m in this mall, there are a lot of people in it whether it would be in the middle of the day(it must be nice to not have a job and be able to afford a Gucci bag and a brand new Mercedes) or in the evening. This review is not about Bayview Village so I shall continue with my review of the Tea Leaf. With a variety of loose teas from all around the world, it is a tea lover’s paradise. I would recommend anyone to choose the sit down option and order a cup of tea along with a treat to go with it. The tea always tastes great as all cups are prepared individually. What I like about the Tea Leaf is not just the teas, but the treats that are available as well! They all come from Zane Patisserie Boulangerie. Mariko’s Sample Menu #1: — large éclair(the small size is perfect for a 2 year old) — a cup of Ceylon(w/out sugar) or Sencha Mariko’s Sample Menu #2: — scone with Devonshire cream and raspberry jam ** — a cup of Ceylon or English Breakfast ** One is simply not enough! As the previous poster mentioned, the Tea Leaf also sells items that are associated with tea. There are a couple of Japanese inspired tea sets on display and they’re quite pretty imho.

This is a great tea shop in the Bayview mall that carries a huge selection of teas. They offer a ton of Indian, Chinese, Japanese and English teas. They literally have a menu featuring the many, many varieties they carry. Across their main wall are huge tins full of teas from all over the world. Tea Leaf also sells tea paraphernalia, like tea pots, tea bags, steeping pots, cups and mugs and sets. And if you feel so inclined, you can order a tea and one of their delicious munchies to go with it. If you’re a tea aficionado, this place is a must-see.
