I trekked all the way up to Yorkdale to go to Thyme. My Mum had got me a gift card for Christmas and there are only 2 locations in Toronto. The one downtown is in the underground PATH system and is super duper tiny. Hardly room to swing a nursing bra in that place. So Yorkdale Thyme had to be better. And I’m glad it was. I was still surprised that it was a lot smaller than the one I went to in Ottawa. Yorkdale seems like the mall of giant stores. When it comes to buying new clothes I just crash into a store and try everything on. I never know what will look good once I try it on, especially now! The salesperson was really friendly and very patient with me. The prices are a bit on the steep side, especially considering that you’ll only be wearing them for a few months. But the fabrics are nice and soft on my extra sensitive skin and the cuts or so flattering! It really makes all the difference to buy something that actually fits your changing figure, instead of something that just makes you look pudgy. There are usually a few in store sales, so you can hit the sales rack to find some good deals.

Dear Thyme Maternity, Why did you sell my contact information to all these vendors that won’t stop calling me. One finally caved in and admitted they bought the information from your store. I got some stuff from your guys and spent a lot of money, but I guess that wasn’t enough? I know I didn’t give permission to distribute/sell my info. I hope you will just operate in the retail clothing business from now on. Sincerely, Mom-with-over-a-dozen-voicemails-from-telemarketers

3.5 stars. In general, their clothing quality is 1 – 3 notches above Motherhood’s/Old Navy’s/H & M’s. However, so are some of their prices. I’ve seen some really nice pieces there, and that would be a drawing point. Their sale rack sometimes offers quite the deals. ex: a pair of $ 59.99 pants that are marked down, esp. more than once, can be finally offered at $ 9.99! Service is o.k. For images, check out their site: Of course, shopping in person is best if you want the best fit from your clothing. Worth checking out.
