Great experience always here. Service is friendly and very kind. Always quality treatment of leather products and for more than fair pricing. I love how if your getting more than one item fixed he’ll cut you a deal. The man who runs this store is amazing. I’ve always come here and would recommend this location to anyone.

I am literally writing this review while walking around Yorkdale, just after having left this store. After having read the only two reviews for this place, I figured I’d give this place a shot to see if they could fix a tiny 4mm-wide tear in my designer bag. I know they lean more toward shoe repair but leather is leather is leather. So. There are plenty of places that repair tears in leather, yet when I asked if they could do it, the hippie-looking man condescendingly told me that it’s a hole and it can’t be repaired in an are-you-stupid-do-you-know-anything sort of tone. I, still calmly, asked if he had any leather/heavy filler(a Youtube video with over 90k views demonstrates how to repair a tear in leather with respective glue and filler) and as if I was a moron, he told me that leather isn’t wood. I proceeded to tell him that there is such a thing and that plenty of people do it and he so very rudely told me to go find it and do it then. I told him he was rude and left the store and now here I am writing this review. Years ago, my cousin couldn’t get a hold of me to find out where I go to re-sole my Louboutins so she went here and they did a terrible job on her brand new shoes. They soled all the way up to the logo stamp and ruined it. Regardless, I decided to give them a try since they are open past office hours which meant I could drop off and pick up after work. I’m glad he was condescending and rude, because he probably would have ruined my $ 4,000 bag if I had left it here. I would not come back here even if they provided free repairs and re-soling for the rest of my life!

I’ve been here several times for simple shoe repairs. Their work so far has been impeccable. They’re not the cheapest place, but when I go somewhere that costs less I usually end up regretting it…

There was a heavy rain, my last night in Shanghai, as the splashing footsteps of 20 million people sent ripples of reflected neon light in every direction. It also ruined my shoes. I tend to walk through shoes at the best of times, but after a week of city walking with drenched leather soles, I could pass a golf ball through the holes on each side. Which was a shame because I liked the shoes, and the uppers were still in good shape(the wonders of a good polish). Enter, then, Walk & Wear. I brought in my tattered remnants, fearing the worst. The look in his eyes, though, was not that of an undertaker, nor a priest administering last rites. The look was that of a compassionate and skilled surgeon; intrigued by the challenge, but up to it. He gave me options and prices — replace the whole sole and heel, rubber or leather or leather-with-rubber-treads. He was honest about the fact that, bad as it looked, it didn’t really need to be replaced — the holes needed repairs, and to be retreaded, and he might as well rebuild the heel while he was at it, but I could save some money that way and the shoe would be good as new. Better, he asserted, since the uppers had been worked in, and since the replacement tread he uses is top notch. One week turnaround, $ 70 job, and my shoes came back with the best polish they’ve ever gotten. Fit is great and I believe him when he says he’s basically doubled the life of the shoe. The only ding at all is that the are other places that will do it cheaper. But for good shoes, quality matters(and for crappy shoes, why repair them at all?) and this guy’s a pro. Pro-tip: also a good place to buy decent shoe cream, reasonably priced.
