A1 Air Conditioning & Heating

I used A1 to service/​clean our furnace and a/​c unit for a few years until they screwed up large.
We had a furnace cleaning and then a week or two later, water was leaking all over the internal components. After a brief conversation with customer service, they told me work completed would not be warranted as I’d allowed the furnace to leak.
I was gobsmacked.
After a few swear words and me explaining to them that they had JUST «cleaned» the furnace, they sent someone out and eventually refunded the initial cleaning.
Fast forward 2 years and even though my wife knew I had banned A1 from the house, she called them to service our AC unit before the summer.
Shawn, the fellow who showed, was congenial and knowledgeable about what needed to be done (I worked for a home builder for years and I usually keep my mouth shut until service people start spewing garbage about what I «need»).
Shawn was efficient, honest and thorough. He didn’t try to sell anything that wasn’t needed. Did his job well.
He’s the sole reason this isn’t a 1-​star review and the only reason I’d consider using them again.
