History

Established in 2008.

Pro Video was created in 2008, when long-​time broadcast journalist Cindy Burgess left daily news and set out as a freelancer.

She was captivated by the rapid changes in digital technology, and embraced the opportunity to tell video stories when, where and how she wanted.

Before long, Cindy recognized a growing trend towards brand journalism or content marketing. She realized that the digital revolution had given businesses the tools and platforms to reach customers directly — but few businesses had the time, resources or know-​how to create compelling video content.

In 2012, Cindy rebranded her freelance journalism business as Pro Video Content.

She now specializes in helping businesses succeed in the digital age with visual stories that are meaningful, engaging and affordable.

Business Owner

Cindy Burgess has been telling stories with video for more than 20 years.

She’s worked in all aspects of the broadcasting industry — both in front of and behind the camera — in markets across Canada, the United States and Central America. Her many skills include producing, shooting, editing, scripting and hosting.

Cindy also teaches video storytelling at the college and university level, and is passionate about bringing video literacy to the world!
