We are pioneering safe mercury removal practices and helping to integrate our unique process so that all of our patients and our crew are safe. Georgian Dental Orillia has innovated with CAD/​CAM technology since 2005, making us the first office in Central Ontario to introduce that technology — to provide the convenience of health care in fewer visits because we understand our patients are very busy too!

Our total care approach for our patients means that there is less hassle of referrals as most all procedures are performed by doctors with decades of experience. We presently have families who we’re treating their grandkids (yet somehow remain young at heart!)

History

Established in 1960.

This dental clinic has been continuous operation for over three generations. The present doctor is Dr. Adam Tan. More complicated dental procedures are this clinic’s main interest, including impacted wisdom teeth surgery, performing dentistry for patients while they’re asleep (moderate IV sedation),

Georgian Dental is strong on innovation — This clinic was one of the first clinics in canada to offer wire free orthodontic treatment back in the early 2000’s. This year, they have introduced digital laser teeth scanning.

Georgian Dental has been voted best dentist in Orillia in 2014. They have the first implementation of 3D printing to create crowns, veneers, inlays and inlays north of Toronto and celebrated 15 years of 3D printing technology in dentistry in 2015. Smiles On Us, a free dental charity event started in Orillia in 2011 offering free dentistry to members of the community in need, including a free filling, free extraction and a free dental hygiene treatment

Dr. Adam Tan, DMD is a best-​selling author for a book he co-​authored titled «Healthy Input: America’s Leading Doctors Reveal the Secret Truths to a Healthy Body, Staring with What You Put in Your Mouth» featuring advice and practices from the leading dental experts. All proceeds from the sale of this book are donated to charity by the doctors. Dr. Tan has developed safe mercuremovalTM protocols to safely remove mercury and replace those restorations with 3D printed ceramic restorations.

Dr. Tan has appeared on A Channel News, CTV News, the CBC Morning Show, KICX 106 FM and The Dock, Sunshine 89.1 FM Radio, as well as The Orillia Packet and Times, and Orillia Today newspapers.

Dr. Tan is passionate about quality, patient-​focused care and believes in relentless learning and improvement.
