I came here with my mother– and sister-in-law for a civilized ladies’ lunch and this spot did not disappoint. We all ordered something, paid at the cash and waited at a table for our meals. I had the pulled pork sandwich which came with a side salad. The pork was pretty good, but it came sandwiched in a crunchy, salty, fluffy focaccia that caused me to ruin all conversation from that point since I refused to talk about anything except the bread. It was SOGOOD. And fresh! I was tempted to go buy a whole order of just that, but I could see a way to fit it into my dining schedule and i didn’t want to ruin it in the freezer. Service was very friendly and the value of the meal was fantastic. I was stuffed. In fact, I took out the meat to finish the bread, possibly causing my mom –in another city — to shiver in disgust. They also had a huge selection of desserts, which my sister-in-law kind of lost get mind over. I cannot WAIT to hit this place again!

I can’t believe no one has written about Patilero yet. This place was soooo good. If you want a cake or pastries for a special occasion, you should be getting it from here. We stopped in for a light lunch(they do quiche, soup, salad and sandwiches). We had a pulled pork sandwich with side salad. Sooo good — pulled pork was moist and the brioche style bun made it even better. They have a large range of individual cake slices, pastries and sweet buns. I had one of their specialties — the coconut, banana cream tart — Oh so good and sizable — could even be shared if you wanted — and was light not too heavy. My hub had the raspberry hazelnut cake slice — so many hazelnuts in the cake — it was moist, flavorful and the ganache topping finished it off. They have lots of tea and coffee options and you can buy all kinds of homemade cookies too. The owners are Flemish and you can count on all those kinds of special pastries. If you want a light lunch with something wonderful for dessert — go here.(looks like the locals love it – there were lots of people getting take out while we were there). They have tables inside to eat as well as two small tables outside the restaurant. Enjoy!
