Tartan Pub & Grill

Went there for their Absolute Comedy show. I had the nachos. They were a little burnt but they were still tasty. The pub also has 50% off appetizers so the food was very cheap. The atmosphere was laid back and the whole experience was pleasant. I would go back again

Ok so after a year or so of seeing their excellent wing specials advertised on OttawaSpecials Today and Wingsnbeer, I decided to go way way out of my way to give it a try I called at 8 pm just to make sure the kitchen was open, and she says they were till twelve thirty, so after a shower and a shave I headed out there. When I got there the left of the bar side was full, all bar stools except two were taken, but the right/​dining side of the bar was empty except two tables (one of three and one of two). So I grabbed a table in the corner to watch the game on the big screen and read my papers. Sat there for a bit and fiddled with my smartphone to find wifi, but saw I needed a pass code. That’s ok I’ll wait for the waitress and ask her. There was a tall waitress with long brown hair, and shorter one with shorter hair, not sure which one was my server. bartender was talking to folks in the corner of the bar. After a while long hair came out to clean a table, then she went to the back. guess i’ll have to wait a while for my wings, beer and wifi code. she came out again and walked thru the section right by my table without a word and talked to the table of two guys behind me. Ok, maybe I wasn’t in her section everythough she looked bored (any other place if that were true, she might have taken my order or dropped off a menu and said that my waitress would be here to take my order soon). So I will wait for the other waitress who never came. Ok I will go the bar to at least get a beer. I stood there patiently waiting for the bartender to finish his conversation with his friends in the corner/​bar, so he will notice me and take my order… waiting…waiting…waiting.finally got my coors lite, and went back to table to read my papers, watch the game and get on the wifi (yes I was the guy who called two days ago to confirm if they had wifi because at that time I was looking forward to going there for wings and beer). Now that I have my beer I am waiting to place my wing order… wait…wait.wait…Now the waitress with the long hair comes near my table. FINALLY! can order these wings they boast of! But she walks by me again and starts a conversation with the two guys at the table next to me… all right I’ll wait again. but now she sits down with them to talk. guess I will be waiting a while longer. are these big wings, small? Come in a basket or plate? With carrot sticks or celery? Sour cream? Guess I will have to wait longer… I finally gave up and grabbed my papers and walked by her to go to the bar to order wings. I sat there, but there was no bartender. ok he should be back soon i’ll just chill with my beer and read my papers. wait…wait…wait…where is he? After an unusually long wait with no one at the bar I now looked around for him. looking thru the door to the kitchen I saw him smoking at the back door. Ok I guess I will now have to wait till he is done with his cigarrette before I can order these wings… wait…wait…wait (funny that he didn’t ask the other two waitresses to cover his bar while he gone considering the waitress with long hair was doing nothing but sitting talkinf to her friends). By this time I have had it with this place! When the bartender came back after his smoke break I asked him if there was a place nearby I could order wings, since I had been waiting. told me that they had wings, and told him I had been waiting at my table to order… when pressed he told me Boston Pizza was down the street.
