I don’t know why I though I should see if the food got any better after a few years of abstaining, but I wish I hadn’t. My stomach was upset for a day and a half after trying the Mighty Angus burger. Never again.

Just tried McDonald’s new ‘Create Your Taste’ computer kiosk service. Now you have the ability to go up to a large computer touch screen and order your food that way. You can order and pay, then the food will be brought to your table when ready. Aside from being able to order from the regular menu, you can also try the ‘Create Your Taste’ option where you can build your own custom burger with all kinds of new ingredients that McDonalds doesn’t normally offer. You have a number of buns, cheeses, sauces and other assorted toppings to choose from. I chose the following… Black & white sesame seed bun 21⁄3 pound angus beef burger patties Tomato Lettuce Sliced jalapeños Crispy Onions Garlic Aioli Sriracha sauce Monterey Jack Jalapeño Cheese Big Mac sauce Ketchup Mustard Bacon Let me say it now… it was AWESOME! By far the best McDonald’s burger I’ve ever had. There were some minor glitches… my bun cool sesame bun was dented and damaged with pieces missing from it. My guess is that was a result of tearing the buns apart, but really that should never have been given to a customer. My wife’s burger was also excellent, but they forgot to put the crispy onions on hers. Again the service is new, so mistakes are bound to happen at the start. Other than that it was a fantastic experience… I was even able to pay with ApplePay from my iPhone while ordering at the kiosk. Looking forward to going back and trying it again!
