Hands down absolutely the best burger in the world, the onion rings are fantastic as well. I have been going here for years and I’ve never tasted a better burger in my life.

I ordered a double burger and fries. The only good thing about this meal was the bun. The fries were overcooked and dry, and the burger patties didn’t even taste like beef. Maybe it’s that I’m used to American burgers, but how can these be that far off?

Excellent onion rings. Burgers were frozen patties but bacon on banquets were grilled. Nice toppings. Fast service.

Big improvements at Mr. burger with new owners and the addition of a good home burger and excellent philly cheese steak on a bun. Keep up the good work and improvements

Full disclosure: The new owners are like family to me. Known them a long time. Long enough to know that I HAD to finally eat at Mr. BURGER even though I never stepped in this almost 40yr Oshawa mainstay the 12 yrs I lived in Whitby/Oshawa. Saying that, I’ve never had a Steak sandwich as good as the one I had at Mr. Burger. They carve the meat from the sirloin proper! I mean really? So good, and the bun was perfect. Admittedly, I didn’t enjoy the onion rings but man are they famous! And huge. If you’re driving through Durham on your way to points East, you’ll get a much better feed stopping at Mr. BURGER vs any of the On Route rest stops. I am from Montréal originally and return home often. I know each and every over-priced generic rest stop. Oh, and they have JUST introduced a homeburger…6oz never frozen. Again, yes I know the guys but ALSO know this burger grind well. Go for it(if they haven’t sold out).

As always for my Burger Joint reviews I ordered: «the biggest/most premium Burger on the menu, fries, and a shake(If possible).» I’ll list my Pros and then Cons. Pros: –A tasty burger option for a frozen patty –Lots of fries given — Again, not homemade, but they’re decent –Offer tasty Milkshakes made the old fashioned way –Banana milkshake option that NOONE seems to have –FANTASTICVALUE –Simple Menu –Friendly Staff who love to joke –Great Retro«Old School» Mom and Pop vibe with Nostalgia and memorabilia wall to wall Cons: –Not homemade burgers or fries For me, Mr. Burger and Johnny’s North End Burgers are basically one and the same. If you want a cheap filling burger/fries/shake that tastes good, this the place to go. The bang for your buck is at an all time high here. Again, I have NOISSUE with a burger joint that just does frozen patties/fries when they’re priced accordingly. Places like Starr Burger and Hero Burger take note, THIS is what you price your food at when it’s NOT homemade.

Mr. Burger has ruined every other burger place for me. I’ve never had a burger as good as the GM burger anywhere else.

Big and old school. Ordered the double banquet, it was legit. Force for the combo with fries and coke was $ 12. A little steep but this is a BIG burger. No wasabi mayo or fancy ingredients just olds chill burger goodness. If the combo was $ 8 i would be crazy about it, at $ 12 still good if you are in the area

Their poutine is a good enough reason to visit Oshawa by itself. Their burgers are huge and tasy, and the portion sizes are large enough that splitting a burger and poutine should be more than enough for two.

A fixture in the Shwa for a great, affordable burger. Eat in, take out or delivery!

I’ve had better burgers at star burger and Five Guys. However, their poutine is pretty decent and they have the best milkshakes I have had in the Durham Region

Another Oshawa staple. Another Oshawa business south of the 401. This place is so close to GM, that they have a GM burger. There is not an inch of wall space in here that is not covered in a license plate, or some piece of Elvis memorabilia. There is a large seating area, but most people get take out so the only line ups seem to be at the counter. Even though this is a burger place, and my family has been coming here for eons, I prefer their steak sandwich, hot dog or grilled chicken on a bun. Portions — muther flocking huge. Share fries or onion rings. Unless you haven’t eaten in days you will not be able to finish your whole meal. Go for their milkshakes, but ditch the gravy. It is watery and made from a cheap mix. The people who work here… miserable…but that is what makes the place what it is. The snarly charm. It is worth hopping off the 401 at Stevenson or Simcoe just to pop your head in and look at all the Elvis stuff. Never seen another place like it. And. the seating… very 70’s.

This is a great place in Oshawa to come for a Burger. The prices are very reasonable as affordable or better than local fast food chains. If you’re an Elvis or nostalgia fan the owner has a great collection of rare and vintage items.

Simple place decorated with Elvis paraphernalia, license plates, Coke collectables. Great food and friendly service!
