Bed Bath and Beyond

This is the most glorious store that I have ever set foot in!
I want everything in there.
Their selection of kitchen appliances is incredible.
And the prices are on par with Canadian Tire for most things.
And of any kitchen store that I have been to, this one by far has the most selection of items not made in China.
I was getting dishes made in France, Sweden, New Zealand, Canada and whatnot from this place, which are usually hard to find.

I have been here twice in the past week. I got to experience shopping here during the weekend and the weekday, and boy, what a difference.
Since the store is pretty tiny, it can feel pretty crowded, especially during the weekend, which was not very pleasant, but the lines were not too bad. I knew exactly what I needed to get, so I got in and got out in a matter of 10 minutes. I have to say the cashier serving us that day was so friendly and cheerful. Bonus points for that!
It is quite opposite during the weekday. I stopped in again on a Monday evening and it was pretty quiet. The cashier asked us if anyone had helped us during our visit, and that really made me think. We were never asked if we needed help finding anything on both visits. That can be a good or bad thing; if you like to shop in peace without the hassle of sales associates then rest assure, you probably wont be getting any sale pitches during your visits. The down side is, if you are having trouble finding an item and nobody has offered assistance, I can see that being frustrating; especially if there is not an associate in site.
From what I noticed the associates usually keep to their selves, stocking or cleaning, so the only customer service you will probably receive is at checkout.
The store carries EVERYTHING that you can possibly imagine for your home, but it will cost you a pretty penny! They do have a lot of high end items, but also have some bargain items set up at the entrance of the store.
Their return policy is awesome. Apparently you can return anything, anytime, no questions asked.
My advice, avoid this store on the weekend if you hate crowds.

They don’t price match anymore.
This store had a fairly good price match before but as of last week you can’t just bring a printout or flyer and price match. Before they just checked the other stores websites and gave you the same sale price, but now here’s the kick in the teeth, they need to call the store that has the sale and see if they physically have the item in stock. This store has become a big dissapointment, with lazy employees walking around when you need help. Have to wait over 40 minutes for them to find the products when the manager is there, truly shameful. I regret spending $ 1000 this week on Christmas gifts and have all the hassle of waiting all that time for them to find the product when get this– the store was not busy at all with maybe a dozen customers. Too many hassles and not that helpful people. I’m not done my Christmas shopping and was going to go there for gadgets and more appliances but WILL MOST DEFINETLY take my money somewhere else. Listen folks if you have a sales price and you want to price match, go to future shop or best buy and they ALWAYS had price matched my small appliances in the past. Shame on me for wasting my time with these idiots.
