Colonnade Pizza

Excellent pizza. I’d been to the downtown location a few times and this location lived up to it. Good service and tasty cake to top off a good meal

This is a good chain, but this location not so much.
Staff is especially rude for dine-​in. Rolling eyes at customers and obviously annoyed at customers with simple requests.
Also ridiculous to charge extra for topping substitutions of similar items (onion for peppers). Makes no sense and doesn’t make the customer feel good. Will not come back for dine in.

This was my second visit to this location — once for takeout and this time for dine-​in.
First, prices are different for takeout and dine-​in. A large veg pizza comes to about $ 30 but one large will easily fill 4 people. Overall good value.
Second, we had a great time — pizza good, Greek salad good, and fried zucchini was also tasty.
Third, Service was quick and friendly.

Absolutely delicious! Crispy crust and golden cheese, awesome sauce, all cooked to perfection.
Only problem is their pricing structure seems a bit high and sometimes illogical. The combos are a bit different. If you don’t like their toppings (eg: broccoli) you get charged extra for substituting. It’s less costly to start with a fancy one and delete the toppings you don’t want, or combine half and half. Forget building your own from scratch unless you enjoy plain pizza. Even then it is not cheap.
If they had better specials I would return more often.

Love the pizza. We’ve been going to the Colonnade for twenty years now and we were so happy to see open in barrhaven. Pizza is just like it gas always been and the staff is nice and attentive.

This review is for the new Barrhaven location.
We ordered a large pizza to go from them last night. As we have had Colonnade Pizza before (downtown location and the one on Merivale), we thought we knew what we’d get.
Unfortunately, what we got was a thin, soggy pizza with little sauce. Very, very disappointing.
I don’t think this bad experience would turn me off going to the other locations, but it definitely makes me think twice about ordering from them again. At a minimum, I would check the pizza before leaving and have them fix it if they gave me something that looked like that again.
The place was packed so I have to assume the in-​store customers were getting what they want… unless standards are so low in Barrhaven that people will eat anything.
So, just play it safe and check what you get before leaving.
