I’ve been here a half dozen times in the last few months to pick up ingredients and equipment for home brewing.(I keep forgetting to check in!) The place is indeed packed with everything you need to make wine or beer, or even apple cider and root beer. On one occasion I had to wait a few extra minutes at the cash register, as it appeared they were assisting someone in the back room with their wine making. I’ve only ever seen one or two staff whenever I’ve been there(after 5) Yes, they do help you make your wine on the premises, for an additional fee. My experience every time has been positive. It can be a little difficult to find what you need, unless you know the store layout. but the staff have always been friendly in helping me to find what I need.

I can’t say I had the best experience when I went to Defalco’s, but I’m not exactly a wine making expert, which I’m sure has something to do with it. The place itself is packed with everything one might need to make wine or beer, or you can have them do most of the work and you go pick it up once it’s ready. I bought a wine making kit for my parents and what really threw me off was the service. They weren’t overly helpful with a newbie to the industry(ie. me) and that made things frustrating. I eventually got everything I needed, but it took some doing. I would suggest you do your homework before heading here, it will likely help you if you get lost/confused.
