They do make a good pizza, not GREAT, I have a problem with they’re prices & toppings are getting stingy. Way overpriced!!!

I see the sign outside saying 2 slices for 5 $(and they have a picture of an all dress pizza) so I go in and grab 2 slices and a soda can and it comes up to 8 $, even after I mention that fact. Whatever, 1 extra dollar, who cares. I would have forgotten about it but the pizza was so disgusting that I will never go there. And I usually love Gabriel’s pizza. The pizza was cold and you feel that they really cut back on ingredients(except for crust which was dry). You feel the pizza has been sitting there for days. AVOID !!!

My friends are big fans of Gabriel Pizza and I don’t mind their pizza. We’ve ordered from many ones and never really had a problem but this place is ridiculous. I live pretty close to this place but on game nights or when a lot of people have arrived at my place I usually get delivery. I’m a 5 minute walk to this place max and every time the pizza has arrived cold! The cheese always looks like it’s been sitting out for some time. This has happened on numerous occasions. I went for pickup once and they had sent my order with the delivery guy accidentally! Everytime we order Gabriel’s now we make sure we get it from the Bank St location as we’ve never had a cold pizza from there. Thank you Bank St Gabriel’s.

Decent, good sized slices at a fair price. Very cheesy and doughy but overall not bad pizza.

I happened to be downtown one day with my daughter and, as we were feeling a little peckish, decided to grab a slice and a drink to share from Gabriel Pizza. The sign outside said a pep(short for pepperoni, dontcha know) slice was $ 2.75. We went in and indeed the pepperoni slices were available and marked as per the sign out front. Sadly, «pep» was the only flavour going. I was hoping for Hawaiian or something else a little more exotic… I grabbed a can of pop and a bottled water also. The girl behind the counter said«That will be $ 6.» Six? Yikes. The moral of the story is — there is no slice & drink deal at Gabriel. And, remember that the listed price NEVER includes the dastardly taxes. The slice was big and had a very thick crust — which my daughter and I enjoy. In fact, we fought over the crust at the end! There isn’t much sauce to talk about, but the cheese was plentiful. The neighbourhood is «colourful», so be prepared to be asked for your change once you step back outside.

Gabriel’s has been around the Ottawa area for a long enough time that multiple generation’s have grown up on it. While there has been some noise made that the suburban locations are inferior in quality to the downtown Gabriel’s, I can only comment on the downtown Rideau street location. The pizza is quite good; they’re generous with the cheese, perhaps overly so. I would not suggest ordering extra cheese as there is more than enough! The sauce is a bit lacking in flavour but the array of toppings is nice, and the service is almost always polite and quick. The crust is golden brown. The salad’s aren’t bad, considering this is a takeout place, and the other non-pizza items are above average. It is a bit pricey for a pizza of this calibre, however.
