What a great place to be. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, the place is neat and the food is fresh and good. Went for a supper with the kids but will go back with my wife for a nice date! We tried the fish and chips, was perfect, the Fancy Poutine was just awesome! We also had the spiced cheese dip as a starter but sadly the way they prepare it, you will run out of chips before you run out of dips. Bottom line, that was a great place and we will go back.

Love this place for live rock shows and staff who are always willing to accommodate reservations for large groups. The food has improved tremendously. The chicken souvlaki is my go-to main every time. Great nachos too. Oh and they have Honkers Ale craft beer. Love. Friendly staff. Keep up the good work

LOVETHEFOOD! Their traditional pub style fish & chips are divine and my current favourite is their chicken wrap with pico de gallo. I love bringing friends who are visiting from out of town here as its a quiet nook, walking distance from my house. Returning visitors will subsequently request another walk over to Greenfield’s.

Best Breakfast in Barrhaven. Love the Irish breads(Bannock & Potato Bread). Great to catch up with old friends Maurice and Elizabeth Strong

I’m usually here at least once a month for Metal Shows. They have great live entertainment, on what is probably one of the nicest stages in ottawa. Really nice to have a place like this to showcase local talent. The food is not greasy pub food either. You can tell the chef takes care to prepare new dishes to the menu. They are also very family oriented during the day. Including having Santa Claus come in December for breakfast. Servers are nice and courteous. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is that I feel the bathrooms need work. As well as the wall décor.

If you’re looking for a pub with a party atmosphere and good beer there is none better in Barrhaven or perhaps the entire west end of the city WHEN they have full band live entertainment. This seems to be their focus, however they do have a pretty good pub food menu including some genuine British items like Bangers & Mash and meat pies. I would like to see them focus on being a more serious restaurant, at least on the nights without the live bands. On nights with live entertainment customers should be encouraged to show up early for dinner instead of being greeted with a cover charge. The décor and seating arrangements could easily be improved for starters. I do believe they’re trying as the menu has been tweaked and quality gone up and down several times over the last few years. Unfortunately there is probably a lack of demand as serious diners may have been driven away by the atmosphere(which includes customers smoking and spitting outside the front doors) and past unpleasant experiences. I would rate it currently as acceptable but the atmosphere needs to improve for me to stick around for more than 1 or 2 pints. It could use a simple makeover as I believe the problem is management focus and not the staff. No problems with friendliness or service! The barman pours a good pint. The«happy hour» is some kind of appetizer special but only on certain nights after 8 pm. Nothing like the wonderful happy hours they have in the States(I believe the Ontario government made that illegal many years ago). There is 2 for 1 fish & chips on Tuesday.

love the atmosphere and the food. The staff is always friendly and the entertainment is always red hot. Greenfields is a must visit in the Ottawa area, especially on a weekend to catch tomorrow’s stars as they build their fan base.

I would say Greenfields is more of a Pub than an Eatery… The food is ok but not a place to go for the food. Great entertainment and fab bands playing most weekends. The owners are a little arrogant but the staff are friendly. Jay the week night bar tender is a gas and truly knows how to treat customers right.
