This place is weird. Their menu has Asian, american and pub food… The décor is nice but a bit common. The food was highly disappointing. I ordered a prime Burger. The buns were straight from Walmart… The meat was dry and the taste was pretty bland. The sweet potatoes fries were good. My gf had a basil wrap. She hated it. The chicken was dry and cold… not good at all. The service was very good but the food was overpriced and disappointing.

I’ve been coming to this place and it’s old location since I was a child. The family that runs this place is one of the nicest families I’ve ever met but that has no pull in my rating. What does give this a true five star rating to me is the cleanliness of the restaurant, the friendly staff and most importantly the FOOD! I don’t know if it’s the cheese they use or what but the pizza is amongst the best I’ve ever had. They once had a brunch buffet which was to die for and I’d be happy to see that return. Incredible restaurant.

Food is just ok. They mess up my daughter pizza(green olive instead of black) my daughter said she would still eat it, instead of waiting for a new pizza, due to lack of time. They never offer a discount on the bill. Customer service is not great in my opinion.

Went in for lunch with a friend. My tartar sauce came with a thick black hair that wasn’t found till half the fish was eaten. Then decided to take a look at my friends meal… HAIR in her general Taos chicken!!! Two plates at one table with hair!!! How is that possible? Manager offered drinks or dessert as a sorry which was nice, but at that point we were ready to leave. Too bad. Place was decorated very visually appealing. Will not return.

A classy night out at a nice restaurant. The staff and our waitress were very nice. My wife was happy with her Seafood pasta. I had the beef fajitas which were good but the beef was a little over cooked. I did not order it any specific way but expected it to come out with a little bit of red and not as well done as it was. We will come back again for the pizza next time.

Just ok I feel like this place is confused, like a prepubescent teenager. Their menu is made up of Italian and Asian food items which is inconsistent and strange, to me personally. The atmosphere is nice, and the place is clean which is definitely the best aspect of this restaurant. I came here with my two good friends on a Sunday night for dinner. When we walked in the host asked if we were ok with sitting upstairs, to which my(very pregnant) best friend asked if there was a bathroom upstairs, the host said no, only on the main floor. So she asked if we could be seated on the main floor, to which she was given a short«sure» and a dirty look.(FYI, pregnant woman tend to pee often and it can be hard for the to climb up and down stairs) Our server finally came around to take our drink orders, piña colada, spicy Caesar, and a virgin Caesar. The drinks took about 25 minutes to arrive. Meh. At this point we ordered calamari which arrived fairly quick. I must say that the calamari was great! We all really enjoyed it. For mains, I ordered the prime rib burger with sweet potato fries. The burger tasted weird. It’s hard to explain the taste but there was an after taste that I didn’t love. It was also somewhat dry. The sweet potato fries were great but the chipotle dip with them had 0 spice and mostly just tasted like sweet mayo. Again, meh. My bestie ordered the fish and chips which she really enjoyed, oddly enough her favourite part was the tartar sauce. Her man ordered the sezchuan stir fry. When his dish arrived I could SMELL the spiciness. I was immediately worried. He took a bite, and for someone who loves spice, his face went red. After a few more bites he ran to the bathroom because his eyes were tearing up and his nose wouldn’t stop running. There were about 20 hot peppers in the dish, which he picked out, and tried to eat again but it was still way too spicy. So he ended up eating very little. We were asked once how our food was, but never asked if we wanted more drinks. Our waiter was quick to bring out take out containers but VERY slow to bring our bill. I likely will not return.

A beautiful location no doubt. Huge restaurant and patio as well. Seems clean inside, bathrooms also. Prices are EXPENSIVE!!! They have a salad that’s 23 $. Apps are 13 $+. Cheapest entre was 16 $ Not a place I would come often as it’s just too pricey. Food was okay. Waitress was attentive this time. Might be best saved for special occasion.

«At least the wine was good.» Friday 6pm and the place wasn’t very busy even though there was a hockey game on. Our server seemed to forget about us once we placed our food orders. The food didn’t wow me at all. Dry vegetables, joke-sized appetizer. Atlantic salmon was good at least. Average food, average prices, slow service.

Not a good place to go!!! We came to have lunch around 12:45pm… The guy that came to take us to our seat put us in a table where the direct sunlight is, it doesn’t have a blind to pull down…(Grrr)… So we have to transfer to another table(by ourselves)… They didn’t bother asking us if we want that table… And it’s not even busy… The server came to us… Ask if we want anything to drink… We just ask for water while looking at the menu… And after 30 minutes of seating and waiting, no server came to us to ask for our order!!! We just had to leave and go to another restaurant!!! A very bad experience!!! Will definitely not come back!!!

Delicious breakfast and a beautiful, newly-renovated portion of their restaurant. Still a great spot!

Ample parking, reasonably priced, and the food is extremely good. You can choose from Italian, Mexican and even North American. It’s a large, unpretentious joint and there’s a decent selection of wine, beer and hard stuff. Try it; you’ll like it.

Come on! This place deserves at least 4 stars. The pizza is one of the best you can have. If you are a «all dressed«kind if person I strongly recommend the Canadian. The place is for everyone, families, sports fans. The selection makes sure you have choices for picky eaters. If anything, it could be that the menu is too wide. Nevertheless, we come to Ottawa 1 week a year and we have to stop at least once at this place so they clearly have something special.

Came for dinner a few weeks ago after the National Women’s Show. This was the first time I had been inside KS, it seemed very much like a sports bar, but kind of intimate at the same time… We sat on the second level looking out the window. Intimate yes, but also quite crowded, all of the tables were quite close together, it would have been nicer in a booth, but being a busy night, none were available. We ordered pizza and Caesar salad. Both items were delicious, and we had more than enough to feed 3 of us, with left overs. We also ordered some wine and I had a peach alcoholic beverage, which was quite nice. Our server was quit busy, so service was a little slow… but I would go back :)

I don’t normally go to «expensive» restaurants, but it was my friend’s graduation. The food was overpriced, but I expected that I guess. Their steaks started at 34 $, and even the Keg starts lower than that, and it’s a legit steakhouse. We order Fajitas for 2(30 $). The portion was pretty small in that, less than the tortillas accompanying it, I could have eaten the whole thing in one sitting, and I am a fairly small person and do not eat a lot at once. I was still hungry afterwards. Also, the cheese for the fajitas was stale. I could have cooked something a lot better myself at home. The service was really, really fast, like 10 minutes after we ordered we had our food. That seems a little too fast for them to be cooking fresh food. I mean, it takes 5 – 10 minutes for them to deep fry the McNuggets at McDonald’s, and those are coming from frozen, so.. . If you want somewhere«classy-ish» at South Keys, I’d recommend Montanna’s or Kelsey’s.

This place is more like a 3.5 but what the hey, I’m feeling generous. I really like the atmosphere of this place. Its spacious, airy, and modern looking. I also like that I’d feel comfortable wearing whatever here, its pretty casual but you’d totally be fine dressing up a bit. The menu is a bit weird, they have Italian, Indian, Mexican, Canadian, and Chinese food… I opted for the manicotti, it was half off appetizer day so I went with the four cheese dip as an app. The four cheese dip was quite good, a friend I was with tried it and liked it so much she ordered it after firmly stating she was not getting food. The pita bread was soft and the dip was flavorful and melty deliciousness. The manicotti wasn’t bad either, it wasn’t spectacular and I’m not sure its worth $ 16, but I ate it all and was satisfied. The portions here are generous, we all left very full. Service was also really on the ball. The food was brought out extremely fast, drinks were always topped up. Our server was also very friendly and personable. I’d come here again if I wasn’t moving tomorrow! ;) Atmosphere: 4/5, again I really enjoyed the casual/not so casual atmosphere of the restaurant. I hear they have an awesome patio over the summer so I wish I visited then! Food: 3/5, manicotti wasn’t bad, cheese dip was yummy. I can’t give it more than 3 points because I do think it was pricey for the quality. Service: 4/5, server was friendly and on the ball.

I guess the appeal of KS on the Keys’ menu is that there’s something that(should) be of interest to anyone. Asian, Indian, Italian, Canadian, etc. The danger of offering such a wide array of cuisines, of course, is doing a mediocre job in all of them. I got the manicotti stuffed with cheese and spinach and it was pretty sub-bar. Nothing horrible, but I’ve absolutely been able to order it at other restaurants for a smaller price($ 17 here). Everything on the menu is a couple bucks more expensive than it really needs to be and it’s hard to find something appetizing that’s also vegetarian. Probably the interior of the restaurant is what partially renders this mediocre establishment from«crap» to «okay».

I came for a birthday so the first thing ill open with is that they the fact that they have a private room for the events is pretty cool. Service is kind of meh. Servers are very uninformed. Coupled with the fact that their menu is extremely vague about their daily offers, ordering was a huge pain. Food is good. I’ve tried a few dishes and they’re always good. Can’t think of anyone in particular that was amazing. They have s great cocktail selection which s plus for the ladies.

I’ll start by saying I went into this place with high expectations. We were recommended this place by friends, and thought it would be a good alternative to Montana’s or Broadways. The whole experience left me feeling overwhelmed by the noise once you opened the door. While the waitress was friendly, I found her attention to me, the customer, to be lacking. I couldn’t tell is she meant to to ignore us, or just didn’t care that she had a table seated. To say this place was expensive would be an understatement. Let me say first that the fish and chips are 16 dollars, 16 dollars for two measly pieces of fish. 16 dollars for the most soggy, batter laden fish I’ve even had in my 34 years. For 16 dollars I’d expected this to be the best fish and chips I’ve ever had period, not what I got instead. Needless to say I don’t plan to go back, at least not willing

The food here is amazing, the restaurant itself is very clean, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired, and it’s in the middle of fancy(some people are in suits) and a pub(men’s leagues and pyjamas), which is a little uncomfortable… They offer a little of everything, including pizza, burgers, chinese food, pasta, thai food, sushi… and it’s all good. I have yet to have something I don’t like and my picky wife loves it for the selection as well. Service is a bit slow and they aren’t quick to fill your drinks or clear your plates, but otherwise, a great restaurant and a great meal.

I thought this place was a Moxie’s but turns out it’s something entirely different. The menu is massive and there’s no real theme to the restaurant. What that leads to is a menu were nothing is particular really good. We split a bunch of apps and 2 people got meals that some of us picked at. It tastes more like a pub trying to make food for a pubs extended menu rather than a restaurant making meals. We also found service to be slow. The place looks nice and honestly it might be a great place to grab a drink in the summer. I thought the place was Moxie’s from the outside, the inside is very similar to Moxie’s.
