The butcher shop is in a most convenient location right in suburbia with very good hours of operation. The selection is good but the quality varies some times. I used to buy sausages there a lot but then I noticed that at times they have the older looking ones at the back and they would give me those first instead of the fresh ones at the front that I asked for. Also, I have bought lamb there a few times and the first time the bone was removed and the lamb weighed, the second time I bought lamb and asked for the bone to be removed before weighing but was told by the butcher that they do not do that, and even though I explained to him that they previously did do that for me the butcher just told me «I pay, you pay». If the policy is to weigh it with the bone in that is fine with me, but to deny that they ever removed it previously before weighing is odd and insulting, so they lost me as a customer.

I’ve been going to Pete & Gus for as long as I can remember. Growing up, Saturday mornings always entailed stopping at Pete and Gus’ for the next weeks protein. Even when I was a vegetarian, I would still shop there for meats for my wife and family, and the first thing I did when I stared eating meats again was to get a Pete and Gus steak. Will always order a fresh turkey for the holidays

We order our Christmas turkey here every year. It is fresh and always cooks up beautifully.
