It’s my first time having hot food here. I must say the seafood ramen was disappointing. They don’t use real Japanese ramen. The«ramen» is pretty much the dried/instant noodles you can find in supermarkets. There were only a few small pieces of salmon, a few small shrimps and a piece of imitated crab meat cut in half. There’s not much taste to it.

Nice little sushi shop with an americanized finish to it. Staff were pleasant, courteous, and quick. Sushi tasted good and was made fresh to order. The grab and go chiller with preassembled roll packages is also great, refreshed every 4 hours it’s a great fit for the sushi lover on the run. They have some variants of the California roll which are all pretty good, although the mayonnaise confused me at first, but turned out delicious. All in all a good little sushi joint.

Yay! Glebe sushi! My lovely friend/boss took me here for lunch and I was very pleasantly surprised. This place is tiny and only has about four café-style tables, but it’s cute and does the trick. There’s a large deep freezer/fridge filled with take-out that they proudly note is restocked every four hours for guaranteed freshness! We ordered a few different rolls that were pretty basic, but very delish including the spicy salmon, spicy california and some sashimi. The sushi may have been the freshest I’ve had in Ottawa, and I really enjoyed it. It was also pretty quick(maybe about an 8 minute wait or so). Since I’m on a bit of a strict diet right now I had to ask them to take out the mayo that seemed to crop up in a ton of their rolls. They were cool about it, but weren’t able to take out any with tempura. They do however, have a gluten free platter of rolls that I will for sure pick up on my next visit! The service wasn’t great, but it wasn’t awful either. I’ll definitely be back sometime soon!

A good sushi place… everything is hand made and fresh. It’s made in front of you, if you want to wait for it, which I always enjoy. I usually get the prepared take home platters, which are reasonably priced, as I find the invidiaul orders a little pricey. If you time it right, near closing time, they offer 2 for 1 on the prepared take home platters as they don’t keep over night. I’ve only been lucky enough once, as they tend to sell out quickly at that point. The restaurant itself is nice, but not meant for sitting. There are a few spots to sit and eat, but it’s pretty small and tight. The staff is skilled, polite, and pleasant, and is always happy to offer advice on something new to try. It’s simply a good sushi take out place with reasonable to high prices.

They have tasty sushi with average to slightly high pricing. If you’re in a rush, you can always come in and take a small prepared platter out of their fridge; although when I’ve been there, they barely had anything left. However, I think I always show up in the evening, so they may go light on preparing those take home meals when it’s close to closing time. This isn’t a restaurant for sitting and eating. There are a couple tables and a few chairs, but nothing inviting. Their entire atmosphere is also a turn off for me. It’s sterile and pretentious without a hint of authenticity. It’s so pro-yuppy, it almost seems like a parody. Their staff is consistently very pleasant.
