Ottawa is full of nondescript named chip stands. I call it the«Out of the way chip shack». T&L’s Fries is well hidden off Scott Street, camoflaged in the back corner of a tiny parking lot. It is very much off the beaten track, but they get steady business from the Public Servants at Tunney’s Pasture. If you are looking for a poutine fix, the shack can be found in the Holland Cross parking lot, south of The Beer Store. Being a shack, one can escape the winter elements to get standard chip truck fare. In the warmer months, there are picnic tables kicking around if you want to eat your poutine. I visit T&L’s simply for the convenience — It is walking distance from my work. Nothing to write home about here: the fries/poutine and hot dogs are simple and ordinary. but I have and will go back. 6⁄30 — Unilocal Ottawa’s 30 Day Challenge!
