I was downtown one afternoon doing some shopping. I was getting a little hungry and spotted a chip truck on the corner of O’Connor and Queen. They said they were the best fries in town. I decided to see if they did live up to their name/​boast. Well… Look, chip truck fries are always good fries — thick cut and crispy. The Best Fries in Town were in that category. The best??? Mmmm. I opted for poutine (a wonderfully Canadian treat of fries, gravy and cheese curds) and walked away satisfied. What did amaze me was for the price ($ 4) I got a LOT of poutine. If you find yourself downtown and in need of a snack, keep your eyes peeled for the Best Fries in Town. But, keep your expectations in check — it is good and a good bargain.
