Uncle Lory’s Vac Shack

My wife and I live off Bronson Avenue and, when we get off the 417, we head south on Bronson and pass Vac Shack. The name has always tickled my fancy, along with the concept of a store totally dedicated to vacuum cleaners (insert «this store sucks» joke here). All kidding aside, I decided to pop in and see what the Vac Shack was all about. Well, it is exactly what you would think and more. They do sell vacuums — all sorts of makes and models (hand held, central vacs) and they service vacuums as well. I am not in the market for a vacuum right now, but if I was I would certainly keep Vac Shack on the top of my list. The staff is knowledgable — they KNOW vacuums. And, although the prices are up there, I have done some competitive research and vacuums are not exactly a cheap buy anywhere. Plus, if price is an issue, you can always purchase one of their rebuilt models. I’d rather shop in a store where they know you by name and are able to help you should anything go wrong with the equipment.
