Wholly cow! The best ice cream I’ve had yet ! Better than any thing I’ve tried in Toronto and even Italy ! Soooo creamy ! So flavorful! Can an icecream even be described as chewy? It was that creamy. During my east coast trip to pei and Nova Scotia I was thinking Cows ice cream was great… Until this! I had the blueberry lemon and after visiting the lighthouse I was still thinking how great the icecream is so we went back. They ran out of that flavor. So I had the lemon. Wowzers again! I wish they sold this to stores or set up a shop in Toronto. If you are in Peggy’s cove this place is a must! They let you taste the flavors before you choose.

Mmmm! Locally sourced ice cream and frozen yogurt! What could be better? I love the varieties of these ice ice cream aficionados and the local aspect really does make a difference: organic coffee, local fruits and lavender flowers really make Dee Dee’s an extra special treat! Check for Dee Dee’s at the market or at local source!

Hip-hip-hooray! for a local company making ice cream that’s worth a damn. If I never tasted another thing that passed for«ice cream» in the supermarkets again I would not shed a tear, especially not if I had Dee Dee’s by my side. It’s not just that Dee Dee’s makes yummy ice cream and sells it at only independent outlets, it’s that they do it up right. Flavours like ginger peach, banana cardamom and Figgie Pudding make me weak in the knees. And the glory that is their ice cream sandwiches, yes yes yes. Oh Dee Dee’s, how I love thee. You can find Dee Dee’s at The Grainery Food Co-op and at Home Grown Organics, or by visiting their store in Peggy’s Cove or their stall at the market.
