Our favourite Fish and Chips place in Peterborough — either location (at 124 Rubidge Street or at 823 Chemong Road, (Brookdale Plaza). Great takout.

Ordered the halibut fish and chips. Fish was fresh and well cooked. Perfectly white and flaky. The batter we crispy.
Fries were only so-​so. Kind of soggy and bland. Coleslaw was decent.
Condiments were Kraft tartar sauce packs and squeeze packs of ketchup. I think they could do with better condiments.
Overall it’s OK for a quick meal. Better than the golden arches if you’re doing a road trip through the area. It’s not a destination restaurant. It was an interesting history and worth going to if you’re already in the area.
