Austin Fish & Chip

I’ve gone to this place since I moved out to Maple Ridge in 2008. Sadly, it seems that this place has gone downhill since then. Recently the fish has become a little more greasy, tasting a little burnt, and the chips aren’t that great either. Lately, I’ve only gotten as far as eating half and been unable to get through the rest. Shame, really, as it is the closest fish and chips place to me.

We always enjoy fish and chips. They do English-​style fish & chips (and a selection of other seafood dishes as well), and do them «good»!! When we’re ‘around that way’, it’s where we head for lunch or dinner.
We’ve always found they provide good-​sized servings of both the fish and the chips, ‘piping-​hot’ to your table, along with a rather decent cold slaw on the side.
We’ve dined in several times, and have enjoyed doing their take-​out a few times as well, when seeing and/​or staying with friends in town, or by ourselves at a nearby hotel.
Heh, there’s nothing fancy about the place, or the food presentations. Just good quality fare, reasonably-​priced, with friendly service — our kind of dining and place!
