The owner was a sweet elderly woman. However, my family and I was not impressed with the food or the restaurant. It was meant to be a buffet style eatery, but the owner insisted on getting the food for us. The food was cold and needed to be reheated in the microwave. The taste wasn’t great either! The price was insane. We paid $ 20/person and we felt smothered by the owner. We will NEVER go back again.

My Mother and I went for the buffet. I had read great reviews and had been wanting to go for some time. We definitely were not disappointed. I called ahead and talked to a most delightful woman who said she looked forward to our arrival. We were greeted warmly, like a loving family member would be! The owner, chef, server is Counsellor Fari, an extremely accomplished, lovely, giving woman who speaks genuinely about her many important focuses for human kindnesses. Our meal began with the loveliest salad. It had 35 ingredients, of which no one has ever identified them all lol, followed by soup, the best hummus I’ve ever had and into the main course. She asked to make choices for my Mom and presented her with a delightful variety of colourful, amazing choices with smells that awaken the senses and open your imagination. We had water that has special minerals I believe(?) It was from an imported system and did have a light, different taste but blended nicely with the meal. Now, the tea, oh goodness the tea! :-) It is blended by the owner and served with dates… now, you hear of recommended pairings but never has one been so very true, the dates compliment the tea so very well, the dance between them cannot be denied. The entire meal was very good with us each having our favourites. There was an assortment of rices, bannock(sp), ribs, cabbage rolls, fish, chicken… etc. all with an Indo– fusion flair… delicious. An earthy, lightly sweet dessert was given… yet another surprising delight. It’s been a while since my tastebuds have been teased and dared to come so alive… Counsellor Fari is indeed a Master in her gifts of creating food for the many senses and we will definitely be returning with others. It’s not just a dinner out, it is an unique and forever memorable experience… if you’re open to let it be :-)

Very delicious food. Highly recommended. It’s home made food. A woman work by her own; she is the chef and the waiter. She cooked variety of food; Persian, Afghan, western, Indian, middle eastern, and first nation food. The restaurant has buffett in Saturday & Sunday. There few chairs & tables, if you want to go with a group, give her a call to reserve a table. She shared her personal stories with me and what she had done for many people. Especially the first nation pepple, she was the one who speak up for their rights. Even though, she is a persian. She opened a refugees camp in her own house. A lot of interesting stories, I’m proud of her. I will go to the restaurant whenever I have the time to eat the delicious food and listen to her stories.
