I went to Gordie’s back in February and paid just over $ 200 for what was supposed to be a complete fluid package; brake fluid, coolant flush, tranny flush and power steering flush. I dropped my car off and was told to come back in two hours. I have a 98 Honda Crv.
When i came back, my car was ‘done’. I paid cash, and the reciept itemized all the work done (coolant, power steering flush, tranny flush and brake fluid), so i asked just to double check that it had all been done. When i asked about the power steering flush, the mechanic looked at me and said ‘oh, we can’t do that here, we don’t have the equipment. We flushed your coolant in stead.’ I asked why he had just charged me for a power steering flush if they hadn’t/couldn’t do it. He asked the other mechanic in the back if they could even flush power steering, and the guy said ‘of course we can.’ The mechanic i was dealing with told me they didn’t have time to do it that day, so i needed to come back another day. Furthermore, he also said I needed to get my timing belt done, which if he had actually looked under the hood of my car he would see it was done about 3k ago as per the sticker on the engine. He also said my engine was too loud and the valves needed adjusting soon or my engine would ‘get wrecked’ and quoted me around $ 300. For a guy who i’m pretty sure didn’t even look under my hood, that’s a pretty sharp statement.
Lo and behold, after a lot of back and forth between Cassandra (who i think is the owner’s wife?) i never got that power steering flush. Or any money back. Or any apology, even.
Fast forward to now. My transmission was acting up, so i went into a Mr Lube to have my fluids checked. After the mechanic taking a mortified look at my tranny fluid, he said (and showed me!) my transmission has NEVER been flushed. Which would make a second, and pretty major, part of work I paid for not completed.
So if you want to pay $ 200 and waste two hours of time for a shop to do maybe 50% of the work they charge you for, go ahead and check this place out. If you’re looking for a trustworthy shop with good and honest mechanics, stay far, far away.

Gordie doesn’t own the company anymore, prices are the same, mechanics are better. went the extra mile to give me deal and loved the service. will continue getting my business wouldn’t go anywhere else.
