Update: Downgraded to 2 stars from 3. My last shellac pedicure lasted only four days before the paint started lifting off. Within the first week the color had come completely off most of my nails. Not sure what was different about this time because usually the color stays on until it grows out, as if it’s been crazy glued on! Very disappointing to have spent $ 50 and it didn’t even last for my week vacation.

Great service, prompt greating, clean enviroment could see each employee cleaning up after themselves or helping others. ANN was so nice she did a great thorough pedicure. Fantastic clear overlay and amazing red nail polish to top it. I like to change my polish frequently, and they accomodated me in the service I wanted

I’ve been going to Solar Nails since they opened. Kelly and Tony are great. The last several appointments not so good. This is the third time I’ve left there bleeding. My toe has been bleeding and throbbing for several hours. The girls work so fast that they do not take care with what they’re doing. I was moved to a different chair in the middle of my appointment so that two friends could sit together. The move smeared my polish. With a heavily bleeding toe and smeared polish, I could hardly wait to get out of there. The girls were talking in their language and then peeking over at my bleeding toe and then giggling. I’m not usually paranoid but the snickering at my expense made me very uncomfortable. First time I didn’t leave a tip. I will miss Tony and Kelly, but I would be daft to return!!!

Unfortunately every time I’ve gone here I’ve left with tiny cuts all over my fingers around my nails. I gave it a 3rd try today thinking maybe I was getting the wrong girl. But yeah they all work so fast that I feel less care is taken. I asked the girl not to use the motorized sander to take my shellac off and she still did, disagreeing that it’s not what is making my nails thin and uneven. I also asked for a shellac change only, no manicure since I’d had one two weeks ago and they still charged me for a full service and she barely put lotion on my hands, no cuticle oil or anything. I won’t spend the money there again.

I hate having too write this but I must warn the public about this place. I am 9 months pregnant and went to this place before Christmas to treat myself with a pedicure and nails, the nails turned out fine but I got a terrible staph infection from the pedicure. I have been on powerful antibiotics and now have to go to a podiatrist to get the ingrown toe nails out that the technician gave me. I don’t know if it was the basin or dirty tools but it’s definitely not something I wanted to deal with at the tail end of a long pregnancy. While I was in the basin the drain cover fell off and it looked very dirty. The tech was digging around in my nail beds so much that I was bleeding, it was honestly the most painful pedicure I have ever received. I went back the next day with my toes all full with puss and the tech said that she didn’t touch that toe. They did give me some of my money back but not all. I’m in the beauty industry myself and absolutely hate leaving this but I just can’t get over the fact that I have had to deal with foot soaks penicillin and polysporin for the last month and if I can save the next lady this misery I will.

I had been going to Solar Nails for over 2 years… yes there are two amazing staff there(Kathy and Selena) who do an amazing job — however. The salon is so loud, you can barley relax when you are there. When you set an appointment you are often double booked and bumped around if you book a Manicure and a Pedicure. Also, after going for so long, i started to realize i was paying $ 70 for a nail fill! And i was getting a fill which should be MAX $ 30. I was paying for a new set every single time. After questioning Solar Nails on the pricing they said«oh this is what you always pay». Yes it is what I’ve been paying but WHY? I like Solar Nails but the experience is not overly enjoyable and it is ridiculously over priced.

I have been a regular client at Solar nail for over 8 years. Today, I was absolutely devastated at the service I received by Selena. She has always been kind to me and for no reason at all today she was horribly rude to me. On top of being rude, her and the other employees talked in there language and started laughing making me feel so uncomfortable and one of the other employees kicked my shoes out of the way. TERRIBLESERVICE! I will NEVER return to Solar Nail. Kelly and Tony kind and I will miss them but I won’t miss the others!

Love everything about going here. They are super friendly, attentive and thorough. Their prices are very reasonabe especially for the service you recieve. Honestly, I don’t think the complaints about them expressed here are too fair. I got the gel coating today, which by the way looks amazing, and even if you didn’t understand what was being explained to you, you would know from the different stages, and the special light they put you under several times, that you are NOT getting a standard manicure. They have had many of the same girls for many years now, that speaks for itself. Give it a try.

I used to love this place, they are quick, give a decent pedicure, had some very good nail artists, and it was reasonably cheap. In my most recent visit, I was absolutely disgusted when the woman who was doing my toes went into her pocket to get change for another woman and handled a copious amount of loose change, and bills before returning to my feet… without changing her gloves or washing her hands. I was absolutely disgusted. I don’t care that it was my feet, STILLDISGUSTING! I will not be back.

My1st time and my last! Booked appointments for me and friend, they started on me and when I was more then half way done they finally started my friend. I then had to sit and wait. We were there for two hours. I couldn’t understand what the girl was saying to me due to her limited English and the face mask she was wearing, she kept saying do you want shiny? I said just plain white, it went back and forth for a bit then she showed me shiny, which looks like a base and that’s what I wanted, only when I went to pay and she said that my bill was $ 118 did I say WHAT? She said yeah you got the gels and shellack… Wtf? no body said I was getting that… If that’s what shiny is I don’t want it. I paid and left. Yes my nails do look good, however there is a serious need for more clarity there! Live and learn.

They do a great job on mani/pedi’s and good on eyebrow waxing. Typically if you’re sitting having your nails done, you’ll be served tea with a cinnamon stick and small wedge of lemon in the cooler or drizzly months and water with watermelon/cucumber on warmer days(very refreshing I must say). My one and only complaint is that this place is hopping ALLTHETIME. Call to arrange an appointment!
