I have a sweet tooth, so I enjoy going to Dairy Queen every so often to satisfy my blizzard/ice cream craving. I find that Dairy Queen locations are very hit and miss in the Lower Mainland. Some locations are so dated that you’d think time forgot about them. The Dairy Queen in Port Moody is my favorite location, by far. There is a good amount of parking behind the restaurant. The restaurant itself is quite clean, and there is plenty of booth and table seating. They also have tables outside so that you can enjoy the mountain views. I have no complaints about the service. They also turn the blizzard upside down when they had it to you(yes, there are locations in the lower mainland where they do not do this, because the ice cream is already half melted). If you would rather take your ice cream home to enjoy at a later date, this location also sells the treatzza pizza, a large variety of ice cream bars, and a good selection of ready made ice cream cakes. I haven’t seen a treatzza pizza for years, so it is good to know you can get that at this location. If you want to go to Dairy Queen, definitely go to this location!

Came by to satisfy some sweet teeth. Parking here is available in the back, in the lot. The location is like most others, with your Blizzards, Dilly bars, and screaming kids with panicking mothers. Good times. The seating area is decently sized, with a tiny kids’s play area too. Reminded me of a medical clinic waiting room. So what makes this special? The friendly staff. They were ridiculously friendly. So friendly, you can’t help but smile. They made my day.

Service at this location is always prompt and courteous and they finally lengthened their evening hours a few years back(didn’t they realize dessert was needed after 9 pm?) — one of my favourite quick dessert stops in PoMo!
