Omni Eye & Vision

Great clinic, easy to get last minute appointment. Very nice and up to date clinic. Really liked Dr. Tong, very thorough with me and performed many tests I didn’t have at other optometrists. Yet price was very reasonable.

I don’t
have any complaints about these optometrists after using them as my main eye
doctors for almost two years. They are friendly and the care is really
high-​quality.

I made Omni Eye and Vision my family optometrists in Port Moody as soon as we moved there. Since we have started getting our optometry there, no one has had any major issues. The staff is pleasant, and the place is very nice.

It can take a really long time to find the glasses that I want at Omni, but their selection is just amazing. I usually can’t even pick just one pair; I have to get several so that I have some for different occasions. I rate this place a ³⁄₃.

Why do consumers purchase eyewear at a store rather than online?
Customer service should be paramount for retailers, especially in this economic climate where consumers are heading south or online (on US sites) for their purchases.
I had order a pair of Oakley Servo XL glasses in brown earth on July 28^th and didn’t receive my glasses for a month. This was not the issue. The problem was that I was told the glasses would be ready within a week. I did not hear from Omni so I had dropped in and was told it would be a few more days (this was at two weeks). The manager Elma was suppose to find out where my shipment was and call me back. She never did. So, another week goes by (no contact or update) and I decided to call Omni. Elma said, «your glasses are on back order and I have no idea when they’ll arrive». Yep, first lesson about customer service, don’t tell your customers «No» when they have given you $ 350+ with no contact, product or options.
Since my lenses had arrived to the store, Elma gave me an option (thank you for that) to have the lenses put into a display pair, (Same Oakley Servo in black) it is August 23^rd. Since it was almost a month without glasses I took the offer. Elma stated that when the brown Oakley’s arrive, she would contact me and have the lenses switched out. She rushed me out without properly fitting the glasses to my face and she could not find the glasses case for the Oakley Servo so she gave me a different Oakley case that barely fits my glasses.
No phone call and it is September 18^th. I guess I’m stuck with the black pair, no big deal it’s just a colour right? My wife doesn’t think so.
Why do consumers purchase online or head down to the US? To avoid contact with unprofessional people and an obsolete service.
Note: The optometrists at Omni are professional, courteous and knowledgable. Just take your prescription and purchase somewhere else, anywhere.

I don’t have any complaints about Omni. They have been my family optometrist since I moved to Port Moody. I like that all of their equipment and techniques are very modern. I actually had lasik done on their recommendation, and now I don’t even need glasses anymore.
