Westwood Honda

Honestly, hands down the best experience I’ve had with a dealership when buying a car. I was in the market for a new car and after toying with going away from a Honda and not having much luck with other dealerships I decided to to return to Westwood.
My family has been using Westwood for a number of years and I was lucky enough to get in and see Jamie about purchasing a used Civic. Unlike the majority of the sales people I’ve come across in the past Jamie is not about pushing you into something you don’t want or need. Extremely patient and vastly knowledgeable. He made an experience that I had anticipated being strung out efficient and quickly wrapped up within one visit.
If you’re looking for great service both at purchase and follow up servicing Jamie and Westwood Honda should be your number one choice hands down!

What a refreshing feeling to be able to deal with people who genuinely seem nice and who don’t seem like a bunch of sleazy and pushy salesman, which is what I found at some of the other dealerships I visited before ending up here. The staff really stood out as nice, and the people we dealt with seemed fair and reasonable and willing to work with you on a sale. We were happy to make our purchase here and I would recommend this dealership to family and friends. I believe it’s family owned and I can certainly tell the difference from some of the other places I visited. In my opinion it’s definitely worth a first stop if you’re looking for a Honda.

I’m very pleased with my most recent experience with Westwood Honda service department. It did take a bit of back and forth, but ultimately worked out:
Some months back I’d got a phone quote, for a drive shaft oil seal replacement. When I did bring the car in, the estimate ballooned. First due a $ 69 additional «diagnostic fee», and then the original estimate was described as «wrong». The new estimate was more-​or-​less double, even though the job was just as described when I got the over-​the-​phone estimate.
The explanation for the estimate being «wrong» was that the person who given me the estimate was inexperienced. I can say that in fact they discussed they discussed the job with a mechanic, and when I even questioned them, saying it seemed a very good price, they emphatically confirmed the price.
And at the end of the day, I am not responsible for their lack of experience when giving estimates. It’s either that, or they are lowballing to get customers in the door, then…
Anyway, when I complained the $ 69 diagnostic fee was waived, and the final bill came in UNDER the initial estimate, by a margin that was actually a bit embarrassing.
Anyway, it ended well, thanks to all.
I’m not going to give five stars, first off because of the run around, and because they don’t appear to have topped up the transmission fluid after the work. Some looks to have drained out in the process, and the fluid level on the dipstick was flirting with the low mark. This was the cold measure, with the car on level ground. I have a bottle on hand, will remedy that, but just a tip for their service department.

Don’t buy a new civic from westwood honda they don’t back what they sell even after taking the service manager for a test drive and his seeing the problem they still tell you that your new car should drive like shit. try to just fix the problem and stop sweeping in under the rug. Huge joke will never buy anything from westwood honda and I will drive 30 min away just so they don’t get my business

high priced used cars

There’s no reason why Westwood Honda can’t be better! They are the only Honda Dealership in Tri-​Cities servicing the most driven vehicle on planet earth! How can you not make that work? Anyways, brought my CR-​V in for a tune-​up. They talked me into a Westwood Honda plate cover for free (trying to boast there name brand, whatever…) I agreed to it. When I got my car back, i noticed there was NO mileage tracker for my next oil change. they took my old one down and forgot to put a new one up. My brakes felt worse than ever and to top it off, there was NO LICENSE PLATE COVER!!! This is not rocket science.
I complained and I got a free oil change 6 months later. Could be a better experience. Honda owners are not expecting «massage parlour treatment» but you gotta get the basic stuff right at the very least! I left their wondering if they actually did anything to my vehicle :(

I experienced poor service at Westwood Honda. I was looking for a particular used car, and called ahead to ensure it was still on their lot. They said it was. I drove from North Vancouver to Port Moody, and it wasn’t there. Apparently sold three days prior. I sat in a nearly identical car to see whether I liked it or not, and I didn’t like it at all. As I tried to leave, the overly pushy saleswoman would not let go of me. She followed me all the way to my car, pestering me with questions, and virtually begging me to buy a car from her. She didn’t back off until I started my car and rolled up the window.

I’ll be surprised if I ever buy a car from Westwood Honda.

I come here to get my Honda serviced and they are pretty great there. They always try to fit me in and the service people are always professional and friendly.
They haven’t tried to upsell me anything I don’t need and they replace things covered by warantee without hassle or questions. If you need you Honda service, I would definitely bring it here!

Who here likes buying vehicles? I HATE IT. We knew what we wanted (after test driving everything… seriously everything, even a 76 Pinto… just for the retro feel). ANYWAY, we dealt with MANY dealerships (captliization means mucho). I had so many salesman doing follow up calls I felt a bit like a pimp.
We saw a vehicle we were interested in, at Westwood, fired off an email that was responded to immediately. Set up an appointment and instantly got a good feeling walking into that dealership. The reason was the sales manager who works double duty as a receptionist. Such an easy going guy set the tone. Then Jamie our salesperson took us for a rip in the truck.
Side note, we test drove so many vehicles that had not been detailed. That instantly turned us off on the vehicle. The truck at Westwood had some attention to detail done. Why other dealerships don’t do this I’ll never understand.
Back at ye old dealership, Jamie gave us the soft sell. «What do you think, did the vehicle work?». We bought it in 15 minutes. We had done some research on it, saw how much it originally listed at, compared to others. We gave Jamie a number, he came back with another, told him our drop dead number, they agreed. Done.
It was such a easy experience, we’ll buy from them again, hands down. They didn’t push ways to make numbers work on us, didn’t haggle on little crap, they just tried to get to the number we wanted, flat.
The only small thing was the warranty sell. They gave it on the pickup day so we had no time to think about it, rather on the first day (they had a newbie doing it on the first day). But the warranty girl Kim was great, and far to knowledgeable on insurance.
I can’t say enough good things about Westwood, zero pressure, great salesguy (Jamie) and an easy going Sales Manager made all the difference. Jamie said repeat business is a big deal for them. I actually buy that, and I’m cheap.
